Cowboys trade 2014 6th rd pick for Chiefs 2014 7th rd pick and DE Edgar Jones

basically the Chiefs were going to cut him and we wanted him for special teams. We gave up a 6th for a 7th so that we don't lose him to one of the nine teams ahead of us on the waiver wire. It makes sense.

I get the feeling that if Jerry Jones trades a draft pick for a special teamer then he thinks this team is close.

When both of our lines are missing multiple starters and the kickoff game is eight days away, then I would think he has lost his mind making this a priority enough to move a draft pick for it.

It was desperation at the final cuts. Just like the Cook trade.

I've always liked Spags. I think one can find out more about the team reading his column than watching the talking heads on ESPN or the NFL channel.

So we lack depth on both lines and we make this move for an ST player?

So if we traded Danny McCray or Eric Frampton to the Chiefs with identical terms, who would you think came out on the upper end?

I think he has his fingers to the pulse of our delusional front office, no question.

I didn't even have McCray making the roster, but they got him to reduce his salary. I like the focus on improving special teams here.

We could see Frampton off the roster by tomorrow. But maybe they like the aces they have now collected for the special teams. Heath is a real stand-out on special teams as well.

You have a very negative outlook on everything. It's not all bad. I think the Cowboys will win more than they lose this year.

I'm curious if he will ever sniff the field as a DE. It sounds like he is a very good special teams player. We have good reason to address that area. I like the deal.

How many of these special teams aces does this team need considering that these aces contribute very little to the offense and defense?

That does not answer the question, but I am glad to see you feel we can at least be 8-7-1.

Im not the best at analyzing linemen I guess. But if were so short on depth for the lines. Why did we get rid of pendeleton and so early?? I thought he was pretty good.

I thought he looked pretty good, too.
