Our strategy now is to try to find special teamers and backups, evidently. That worked so well in the mid-90s.

Barely any teams go by the draft value chart.

Chart or not, unless Roscoe Parrish is included then it was a stupid trade. Why the heck do we need 12 picks? We could've given up a sixth to move up 2-3 spots to pick Max Unger... now that would have been smart. That trade down did not make any sense, period.

Edit: Ok, well, emotion aside... if we trade back into the bottom of the 2nd and take Rashad Johnson, then it will be ok.

Sean Smith, William Moore, and Rashard Johnson were all sitting there so there were plenty of quality Safeties sitting there for us to take.

Moving out of the 2nd and into day 2 only was stupid. This was a pathetic move.

Points or not, this was our moron owner getting cute by thinking he has to make a trade.

The man makes me sick.

Yea it sucks to have an owner spend a ton of money on your team trying to win. Whether you agree with him or not the guy wants to win and does what he thinks is best to do so. I'd rather have that then some ownership who is cheap and all about the money. I think we've done pretty well in the 3,4,5 rounds recently in the draft really.

The biggest waste of 5 hours in a Cowboys jersey of my ****ing life. Tomorrow, let's find a team with 2 7ths, so we can trade a 6th for that, then keep wheeling and dealing until we can have ALL 32 picks in the 7th round. GO TEAM!

I posted the same thing! DOH!

That's what I was thinking too.

What BS.

P.S. Move the fricking Draft back to Noon.

This would have been over hours ago.

Mother ^&*@#$!!!
Why!
We don't need 12 picks.

We better get 2 picks (from another trade) in the 2nd out of this, otherwise we got fleeced.

if all the players are equal talent at this point, why trade down? Surely the talent level drops off by the time that you use the pick you traded for, no?

If we actually liked a player, we should've just taken him. Why get cute so we can pick up an extra 4th rounder? Another Stanback/Skyler Green?

New York gets Nicks and Clint Sintim.

Philly gets Maclin and McCoy.

Skins get Brian Orakpo.

Dallas has added nothing.

Sweet.

Good grief people, quit being such a collection of crybabies.

Pretty obvious there was nobody there they loved that much. No sense reaching for somebody or a position if you don't think the value is there.

We have two 3rds and three 4ths now. Could be a pretty active 3d rd for us.

As has been stated previously, Jerry does NOT do everything to win. If he did, he would have fired himself as GM more than 5 years ago. Jerry's ego means more than winning I don't care how much money he throws around.

I can understand the frustration guys.

You need to understand that sometimes the draft in certain spots doesn't go your way.

We probably had the 3-4 guys we like for that spot in the draft go off the board in the preceding 10 picks.

Just happens sometimes, but the worst thing you can do is reach for someone.

The 51st pick has value! And the player selected with it gets a nice contract and signing bonus.

I'm betting they want Duke Robinson, but won't take him at 51

Some of you guys are ridiculous.

Every knows, or should know, that you STICK to your board.

Obviously, the Cowboys didn't feel like there were players with second round grades, so they traded out.

I'd rather them trade than reach on guys like Tony Dixon or Quincy Carter.

The players they wanted didn't fall, and them's the breaks.
