This is not the rb from Texas I wanted to trade for.

That was never ever going to happen. We didn't exactly have $12 mil in salary cap handy in a duffle bag. And the longterm implications of that salary plus a high draft pick...no.... it just was never a serious consideration.

Why is it so hard to comprehend that we traded a 7th round pick for a short yardage back?

Cause that's not it.

We traded a 7th-round pick AND released an intriguing DE prospect in Edwards for a RB who won't be on the 46-man roster unless someone gets hurt. He's not taking Randle's or McFadden's spots, and Linehan absolutely loves what Dunbar brings to his 3rd-down passing game.

I'll be shocked if we carry 4 TBs on game day.

There is a possibility that one of our runningbacks will get injured. There is also the possibility the FO seeing that we don't have a power back to grind out the clock may want to actually suite CMike up during game day. You may never know. I doubt Dumbar is going to be running for 3rd and short situations. I also not convinced that Randle will be the starter. No one knows for sure until the they start playing.

Nothing against Edwards, but if our defense ends up having to rely on the likes of him then we’re in deep trouble.

On the other hand with Dunbar and McFaddan’s history of getting injured, then the chance Michael getting significant playing time is quite high and the drop-off in talent is nearly as great either.

It was a joke.

an intriguing DE prospect...

the only way this thought pattern makes sense given the overload we're now looking at of REAL defensive players and their own potential can only lead me to believe your last name is edwards.

Fish has been saying this move is more about Randle.

Fish also said that Hardy wasn't signing in Dallas, and that they didn't want Rolando McClain back.

I wouldn't take anything Mike Fisher has to say as being gospel. His theory about Randle is speculation - he even admitted that.

From Seattle RB coach Sherman Smith:

So why wasn't he more dependable and professional than Turbin?

I see a guy who believes his own hype and thinks he's much better than he is. Way too much attitude for a guy who's done nothing thus far in the league.

I think he can use a dose of humility in his game.

Which is a concerning character flaw because once he sizes himself up with the competition in Dallas he's going to think he's a modern day Jim Brown pumped full of PEDs.
