TRADED Cowboys trade for Joe Milton

Just stop. The team that knew him best with a guy at the helm known around the league as a great QB / Offensive guru dumped him. There was a chance he would have been released. Jerry giving up a 4 for Lance is the type of move that has plagued this franchise for decades.

I hope I am wrong on Milton. I really do.
That guy also traded multiple 1st's to get him. There's little chance he would've been released, you're just making stuff up now. Another 4th round pick has caused a lot more issues than the one we traded for Lance.

I figured that you didn't. He got off to a great start in preseason at New England.
The Patriots gave him up for a 5th round comp pick and had to throw in a 7th round pick to compel the Cowboys to make the trade. That is what Joe Milton is worth as an NFL quarterback. He is not going to challenge Dak Prescott for playing time. He probably will start the season as the emergency quarterback, behind Grier.

So far the guy has been as useful as breasts on a fish. Yet to Cowboys fans he’s the next Roger Staubach. Ridiculous.

Your comments are ridiculous. It was a damn good trade. He is a young qb with a lot of talent that can be developed. Where are you getting this crap? Who said he was the next Staubach? Who said he was he was challenging Dak for playing time? You just pulled crap out of your ***.

Oh really!

Check out the Chargers transactions from today.

@shabazz
I posted it yesterday but today's signing doesn't change the narrative that he won't be signed to be a starting QB

Going to the Chargers on a 1 year deal guarantees his position of backup to the backup material......he won't even be able to beat out Taylor Heinicke for the 2nd spot on the depth chart

Herbert isn't losing any sleep.

None of that matters. It's the NFL not the CFL.

The 32 gms was a little off. The Cowboys offered him a deal also that he turned down before he took the Chargers offer.

There has already been responses claiming he shows more promise than S. Sanders. He’s a journeyman QB that has already been with more teams than he’s been in regular season games. He has 6th round talent and is a one in a million shot to ever be a productive NFL quarterback.

He will not develop what little potential he has wearing a ball cap and holding an iPad.

I think he might end up wishing he'd taken Dallas' offer. He might have been the No. 2 QB here, but it looks like he'll be the No. 3 there. I mean, Heinicke is a bona fide backup for the Chargers, Grier is just a placeholder.

Lol, have you even watched him? I advise you to watch him in the future.

Jerry likely offered 1M. Leave min.

Most likely, but the question is do you stay somewhere where you've got a good chance of being No. 2 for 1M or go somewhere where there's a good chance you're No. 3 for 2M (his contract is up to $6.2M, so I'm not sure what it is without the incentives).

I can understand wanting to look for a better opportunity with better pay, but all he got was the better pay.

Watch him what? He’s not with the Dallas Cowboys to play in games. Seven on seven drills and pre-season games are meaningless. Dak’s leg would have to fall off before Milton sees time in a regular season game. And if Dak were to get injured Dallas would quickly sign an experienced QB to take over. Exactly what they tried to do before picking up Milton.

Kellen Mond will start a game for the Cowboys before Joe Milton ever does.

You are out of your mind.
