Signed by Cowboys Cowboys trade for Michael Bennett

Exactly Idgit, I agree completely.
We have the number 1 ranked offense in the league and we are 4-3:huh:

Clearly defense is an issue and Bennett can obviously help with the pass rush.

Safety is another weakness of this defense, that is why I was screaming for Earl Thomas, but we decided to play with what we got.:(

If we fix the TO differential issues, we’re a contender in the NFC right now. Just get the takeaways and take better care of the ball in the passing game.

Seriously? Michael Bennett?

Let's bring back Hardy too. How about Pac Man Adams, is he available? Tank Johnson? Alonzo Spellman?

What other "wrong kind of players" can we sign up? What other poison can we add to the locker room chemistry?

This is one of those situations where Jerry wants to "help". This is a classic Jerry move.

I was never big on either of Bennett brothers personalities, but I don't care about personalities as long as you ball. Tellus I even grew to like as a player when he became a dominant blocker. He was far trash as a Cowboy.

Im all for players that can help us win. Im not take some pretend moral high ground due to a single story I dont think is all that bad. Bennett isnt some known thug

I bet it’s a Richard move, actually. From their time in SEA.

Well I would think he was procured because of Tyrone Crawford injury just guessing? Can he play inside? From what I've seen, he gets pretty nasty I can't see why he wouldn't? Time will tell

Even if he's not, it's still a brilliant transfer. I hate the idea of doing business with the Pats, but to only transfer away at worst a future 6 for him, that's a really good transfer. I'm proud of Jerry for this one. Quinn, Bennett, and Tank make a really formidable defence.
Well you might better get used to dealing with the Pats you might see more of it Jerry Jones and Robert Kraft are best of friends Jerry actually helped Robert lay out the blueprint for the Patriots when he became their owner he leaned on Jerry heavily. And very quickly the student became the master I'm talking business side of things

Michael Bennett was a positional misfit in the Pats 3-4 defense, whereas he should be considerably more effective in Dallas' 4-3. In NE, he was being used a mere 35% of the time and accounted for 2.5 sacks in 7 games. At 6-4 and 275 lbs., he'd also be useful in run coverage.

There's little to no doubt about his being acquired to replace Tyrone Crawford, currently on IR, due to hip surgery and the rehab to follow. The cost was minimal. His production is likely to be well worth the 7th round pick that could possibly turn into a 6th in 2021. Let's see where that takes us in the last half of the season. Bennet's first gameday destination will be Monday, Nov. 4th, vs. the NY Giants in the Meadowlands. It might prove interesting! ;)

I mean, what kind of value have the Patriots ever found in the sixth round! :D

We all get hes past his prime but he did get 9 sacks last year and 2.5 in very limited time in NE. Its a considerable upgrade over the DL depth.

We’re 6th in total D and 7th in points.

If we stop the turnovers and or avoid some of the bs calls like NO, the Jets game offensive pi, and especially the Green Bay game (several) we could very well be undefeated.

Many hate when the refs are used as an excuse. Some excuses are reasons with legitimacy.

I think we’re all right and Bennett only makes us better, but yeah, a safety would be nice too.

He’s a productive player who’s a locker room cancer. He was the Eagles best pass rusher last year and they still moved on for very little compensation. Word was he was not a team guy.

A few people have asked- he will kick inside to DT and he plays the run well.

I think because he hasn’t even reapplied and he could of since I think around Aug 19th, that he most have had a relapsed. It’s just unusual that it’s taken so long for him to even reapply if it was just a “missed test” and he was really clean or sober. Didn’t Josh Gordon reapply around the same time in mid summer?
He didn't relapse, he took longer to reapply before. He has certain conditions he has to meet and he wants to make sure he has everything in order.

You know...he has in the past. As a 3rd down pass rush specialist. Not the worst idea....for a 3rd down platoon.

LDE- D-Law
3-Tech- Bennett
NT-Collins
RDE- Quinn
That was the lineup I was thinking. Did some film study this season when he played for the Patriots and they had him at NT in a 3-4 a time or two. I wouldn't play him there though but 3 tech for sure

Being reported that Michael Bennett is now a Cowboy. Was hoping for a dt but won't complain about this trade unless he blows up the locker room.
