That's highly doubtful after this trade.I just just checked multiple Steelers 53 projections and all of them so far had Jones making their 53.
We got a 4th back. Look at last years draft and the one before. How many 6th rd picks have made the team?3rd and 6th man I hope we're trading someone else to get that pick back uhh he better be starting!!!
That was probably the first offer. But the Steelers probably had others on the table and Dallas had to sweeten the pot.I dont like it for a 3, with the reports being so negative on him I thought a 6th alone would have been enough
Ha i was talking about jerryHe'll earn a lot here especially after his first false start!
Or Steele is worse than reports.Jerry sure has changed
They better not have given up higher than a 5th. maaaaaybe a 4thRumor is he stuggled in camp and was going to get cut per NFL Network
I'm good with it....It's a 6th rounder next year....Chances are...a 6th rounder isn't making this stacked roster next year.I don't like the trade. You are already short on draft capital in an expected deep draft and now you burn some more on a career underachiever. All because you thought Terence Steele was a good player and now you have nothing there.
Plus his last name is Jones. I need proof that he isn't related to Jerry.
No, and I'm sure it was too much for him. They could make a 1 yr deal with him if they wanted.Fellow Zoners, I have a question.
Jones is a free agent following this season because the Steelers did not exercise the 5th year option of his rookie contract. But now that the Cowboys inherit that contract, can they now add the 5th year option (through 2027)????
They can. But at $19 million? Cheaper to just re sign himFellow Zoners, I have a question.

The way the Cowboys like to cross-train linemen, Jones better change his attitude about moving around.Steelers kept moving him around from left to right to left to right. I think he lacked motivation after that. He wants to play left. He could end up being a steal if we put him in left tackle and gets a full reset on his career.
Thanks. And you're right, a new deal next offseason seems likely if he shows enough to stay. They can. But at $19 million? Cheaper to just re sign him
No, this likely is worse. Elam was a 5th/6th swap. This is a 3rd/4th swap. The only commentary I heard on TV about him was that he struggled the last 3 seasons with the Steelers. So this is another Kaiir Elam/Kenneth Murray type acquisition?
