One player can trash a teams cap. If you pay an average player too much he will have to carry the team, because the team will lose players. Dak contract will take a 60 million hit next year. Jerry has to extend him to lower the hit. If this team can't get to superbowl this year they will never be able to with this team.

This I don't disagree with. Dak is a good qb.. not the highest paid qb... but this game was not his fault. Players were covered like an umbrella. If anything games like this helps with negotiations

I think this is it. Today, our tiny LBs could not get off blocks and left big holes outside the tackles.

But we have seen performances like this before and they have come back to clean it up the following weak. We will see the resilience of this team next week when they go on the road again to p lay the Dolphins. But I would love if they have a thumper at LB who can play sideline to sideline.

Board is giving the proper response, considering that after a long drought people care more about how we fare in the playoffs than in the regular season. Today is not a good sign.

This team is not a contender, you can't get blown out on the road and contend as a wildcard team in the playoffs... the sooner you accept the inevitable the easier it will be on you.

Plenty of teams have contended after being blown out on the road. Plenty of WC teams have contended after having big losses. The sooner you accept reality the easier it will be on you.

Didn't Hankins play against SF?

Hankins would have helped today, but don't think the outcome would have been much different. He is just the least worst of our run defense DTs, and has been since he got here. Doesn't make him good, just makes him better than the awful alternatives.

Lee, on the other hand, was a true force in himself. Lee was very good to elite when he was healthy for us.
