Tom Landry didn't start off winning. It took time for him to build a team with character guys and a winning attitude

Garret's close to that guys. Trust me

Victories with injuries?

What the hell are you talking about? I have been assured by the Garrett jock riders that it is against the space-time continuum to actually win a game without every starter healthy.

Its hard to find an example of a team losing its #1 receiver and #1 quarterback and their best corner and seeing them have much success.

Everyone is bumping old threads from last week, its absolutely awful. No threads after a game, lol. They were always the best reads, capturing the true emotion of the wins/losses.

No threads after a game on a fan forum is a Jason Garrett type of call. A bad call.

This is unheard of on any forum I've ever been on. I think you get banned for questioning things around here, but surely no one thought this was a good idea right?

How can you argue the track record? Is it luck? Circumstance? A random series of unfortunate events?

Or are they just not GMed by a lunatic owner and his equally illegitimate son?

Is it all the coaches who have run through here on a seemingly endless loop since Clinton was in his first term or is the one thing that hasn't changed?

My point is that we have NO choice. We can change coaches. Jerry and little Stephy are here to stay. So why gripe about them? Still our HC sucks, you can't argue that one.

Its also hard to find a team that has been stacking good drafts on top of good drafts building a deep roster thru the process, yet cant muster ONE stinking win out of 7 games when 6 of the 7 games were all winnable.

Passing routes... I said it during the game thread... Teams line up CBS against us regularly 'off the street' and you'll consistently hear announcers talking about how these CBs are doing a great job against this offense..

Yep, Tampa's 4th and 5th string CBs are playing straight up man coverage against our receivers.......including Dez...........and shutting them all down.

Just embarrassing.

Yep, I watched the game......I just didn't watch it wearing silver coated glasses.......if you want to blame somebody, try the freaking head coach who cant win a game without his starting QB.
Linehan maybe? He's the genius OC.

It seems pretty clear now that we are not nearly as good on either side of the ball as we once thought, and most of our key players have underperformed all year.

I don't buy into "look how few points were given up"... Most teams play us very conservatively. Yet every time we score, teams seem to answer easily. Have the lead, score tied, forced overtime...any time a team needs to score to tie or win, they've done it all season. Not a single stop at crunch time with game on the line.

Look at last year's scores and the turd QBs we faced. Yet the only difference I see between last year's stellar record and this year's total failure is that last year we had Romo driving for the end of game win or directing the offense to first downs that kept our sad defense off the field at crunch time. Does Romo make us a great team? No....we are not a great team with or without him, but he wins most of the close games despite our defense, special team, or offensive failures. Even last year we noticed that the offense could stink all game, but in the two minute drill before the half or end of game, we moved the ball when Romo was no longer running plays from the sideline.

Blame the season on Romo's injury, but I'm guessing Garrett hangs on because of that and Jerry's ego. I'd love to replace both Linehan and Marinelli before next season.

At this point, I wish they would just go old school and let Tony call the plays. When it comes to football, I don't doubt that he's the smartest guy in the organization and probably one of the few QB's who could do it if anyone can. The coaches could still communicate with him and let him know what they're seeing, but it would be fun to see what would happen now that they've already lost 7 games and are probably out of it. A few years ago, I would've been concerned that he would never run the ball, but I think he understands the value of a running game now.
