Sigh
I don't see how some people can think that you can go deep into the playoffs with a QB that lacks pocket awareness. Dak a few years ago had more athletic abilities but it looks like he has hit his ceiling and while he still can play good he doesn't recover from holding onto the ball too long, since now he is slowed. That shows the difference between a championship QB and a also ran... you can't take that sack on that play... he was not going to run out of that pocket, just throw it over the head of one of the endzone receivers and go on to second down.
We were going to run out of time before we ran out of downs so saving the down didn't make any difference... losing the time was the killer... stepping out at the endzone, just not aware of were he was on the field...
Dak just gets panicky at the crucial times, it's why he can't make the comebacks... at some point he is going to panic and make a bad play that cost them the game.
Throwing the ball 3 yards short of the end zone was just fitting for a game were they were always coming up just short...
Again the Cowboys have come up just short at the QB position.
I don't think we are as good as them in a couple of positions... I'll let you figures those out.The team with the superior line and two front line receivers won the game. As for defense, I think they were similar. Didn’t help that Philly fumbled 3 times and every time it bounced back to them. It happens. Sucks to lose, but we are just as good as they are overall. Definitely should have given Steele some help at some point.
Ok. You are definitely an Eagles fan. You like some of your Eagle buddies only show up when they lose. I am Cowboys fan…he wasn’t the reason they lost tonight. The 49ers game, he sucked, was horrible. They win this game at home and the Eagles have a very good chance of losing the next three. Lot of football left. No, I just don't self delude like some of you delusional fans. I mean keep sniffing if that makes you happy, but Dak did play well minus some bad plays at the start and then choking in the end. He had an overall good game but he still lost it for us more so than some of the players you guys are trying to shift the blame to. Yes keep throwing all of the cowboys except for Dak under the bus and call me an Eagles fan...
49ers, Buffalo, Kansas city.. yep.Good news. If recent history holds true, Eagles should be going on a losing streak here soon after their bye week.
I've defended Romo like I defend Dak but this is complete BS myth. The 2007 team was one of the best team we had last 20 years. Romo also had a great team in 2014.Romo was a much better QB than Dak, he just didn't have the same pieces around him that Dak does so it was mostly on him... Dak has the pieces but he just doesn't not have the game to complete the picture.
Funny how it's all on Dak. But time and time again it was his scrambling and throwing on the run that kept them in the game and throwing TDs. Yes, he sometimes holds the ball to long, but also when the protection is a turnstile, he makes the call drops backs and has his *** handed to him.Of course Steele screwed up.
But QBs have been throwing balls away w/o getting grounding calls since forever.
If a QB doesn't know how to do that, he needs a new job. And you need a new QB.
Don’t make me laugh. That was always the storyline. Prime Whitten, prime TO, prime Dez, Demarco Murray, Marion the Barbarian, prime Zack Martin, prime Tyron Smith, prime Frederick. Romo had pro bowlers and HOFers Whenthey were at their best.Romo was a much better QB than Dak, he just didn't have the same pieces around him that Dak does so it was mostly on him... Dak has the pieces but he just doesn't not have the game to complete the picture.
Great players make great plays at critical times.it's the "few mistakes" that make all the difference if you have any hope of competing for rings.
That's where CD Lamb was at. Lamb was at the 3 and there were defenders behind him in the endzone. Dak threw it to his receiver. From there he had to hope CD could push it into the endzone. Why did we throw the ball short of the end zone the final play?
Or you just overrated him and he's the JAG I've always said he was.Do we have the highest proportion of players that get paid and then fade? Steele I’m looking at you.
This is true, since the injury he is slower and much more panicky in the pocket... when he panics he loses his awareness of who's around him and it turns out bad.I don't see how some people can think that you can go deep into the playoffs with a QB that lacks pocket awareness. Dak a few years ago had more athletic abilities but it looks like he has hit his ceiling and while he still can play good he doesn't recover from holding onto the ball too long, since now he is slowed.
GiantsReminds me of when Dez was a finger tip out of bounds to cost us a win. I think it was against Baltimore.
He had no freaking time!!!Can't take sacks that close to the goalline. Throw the damn ball out of the back of the endzone
Bad play by both of them...That's where CD Lamb was at. Lamb was at the 3 and there were defenders behind him in the endzone. Dak threw it to his receiver.
He didn't have the defense.Don’t make me laugh. That was always the storyline. Prime Whitten, prime TO, prime Dez, Demarco Murray, Marion the Barbarian, prime Zack Martin, prime Tyron Smith, prime Frederick. Romo had pro bowlers and HOFers Whenthey were at their best.
It was bang bang, some folks drank a little too much today and don't get that.He had no freaking time!!!
