Game Day Cowboys vs Giants post game thread

Morris was running better than Zeke today for whatever reason. They should have stuck with him for few more series.
Garrett likes to do this, if a person is doing well, he gets away from it. Yet he wont sit a player if the QB isnt taken to them. Witten should not have been in there if Dak likes Swain, or Butler.

A little off topic, but the Patriots got a TD on their first drive against a stout defense without their best receiver and a backup QB. If they put up more points than the Cowboys did, I may be sick.

It had everything to do with plays called and blocking scheme. The Cowboys offensive line and play calling for running plays was absolute **** today.

Our dline is trash. They made that broken down Gmen OL look like the Cowboy's OL should have looked but didn't. (running plays anyhow)

Our number 1 players didn't make plays today like Greg Hardy didn't make plays last year...

I guess number 1 players simply don't perform when in Dallas... I wonder why...

Sure they do. Romo, Witten, Smith, Martin and Fred played well.

Dez got taken out for a few reasons. They took the middle of the field the Giants gave them and didn't force the ball to him. The TD he dropped wasn't easy but ihe should make some of those plays; he didn't. That's on him. He's the X and apparently we don't have another X except Butler who needs another year or two of seasoning to play it well. You CANNOT interchange the X and Z like some of you seem to think; and certainly not the S Putting Dez in motion means moving him presnap off the LOS and someone else on it. Those routes are the S as well as the RBs and Y at times. Today they covered the outside and deep. That takes away the X but leaves the S and Y open. Beasley needs to make the most of his looks. There is a reason Beasley looks like a S and Dez a X.

The very fact we almost (and probably should've pulled it out) won is remarkable. No mistakes by Dak although they reined him in obviously. Won the TO battle. DID adjust in the second half with blitzing and put some pressure on as well as forced Eli to get rid of the ball. Linehan DID throw more in the 2nd. Pass protection was good except a few plays by Collins and Free. Ran the ball pretty well looking at 8-9 man fronts.

I mean cowards as in the way the organization is run (Jerry jones). There's no way a modern day NFL coach keeps his job as long as Garrett with his average resume.

Alrighty then. I always sensed the fear in JJ's eyes when dealing with JG. Personally, I fear clapping monkeys as well. Almost as much as I fear the flying monkeys in the Wizard of Oz. (Which is where we're at right now - Flying Monkees) Here's what I would do if I were JJ to put an end to this so called cowardice. Coward no more!

But seriously, bad management would be a better assessment than cowardly. And if he would have had the awareness to run out of bounds we may have won this game. You can't fault coaching on a bad decision in the middle of the play. I'm sure if we would have won everyone in here would be hippin' and hollerin' about how "smart" the coaching staff is, but in a loss emotions come out. And I understand that. Hell, I said I was gonna punch Giants fans in the face. And I'm not even drinking. But we are not cowards dude. We are most certainly not cowards.

What is even sicker? Me teasing the line down to Arizona -0.5 in a parlay

Here you can blame the DL and DC coaches as much as the players. Some DL were shooting the gaps with no play recognition. Crawford, McClain and Thornton are decent or better. The rest need to be taken to the wood shed along with perhaps Lett and Marinelli. It may be they are coached properly but have no discipline but their poor play on the inside was responsible for those big middle runs. That's without seeing the All22 but I'll bet it confirms.

TBH I'm not even mad about the loss. The only thing I'm mad about is Zeke's/the OL's performance. They grossly underperformed.

I suggest getting a 35 gallon barf bag then. Home Depot has a box for $15. 40 count should get you through the year

Spagnola makes me sick listening to him on theFan. Making excuses for Doug Free and every other player that played bad today.

The cruz dance was fine. I thought that the NFL outlawed other players contributing to a player's celebration.
I remember when the Cowboys got penalized in 2010 against the Titans when another Cowboy joined Williams with the hook em horn celebration.
Hmm.. To tell you the truth, I didn't see the (side) celebration. Striking a pose is what I'm led to believe. IMO, so what. Big whoop. If it's a penalty and it wasn't called then I guess you're right. But I'm not familiar with the rule if it exists so I reserve my response.

This game was disappointing to lose but I'm encouraged that the offense will gel as the season progresses

Haha the video!

You're right, we fought and it was a close IN SPITE of our coaching. The truth is that the game shouldn't have been that close except for dumb plays at the worst times. It's a trademark under Garrett. He needs to go.

Really? Why wast it remarkable? It wasn't like we were playing GB or NE. Giants were a 6-10 team last year with a rookie HC. Giants had the worst defense last year and their OL is bad.
