They had ample time to spike it - you need to think not me. First off, the lack of timeout left our defense panting and unprepared for what actually happened, genius. second, even if Stafford spikes it as expected, you don't think they score from the half yard line with 12 seconds left and time for 3 passes?

Calling a TO there gets us ready for either a goal line stand or getting the ball back with a lot more time than 12 seconds. and we still had a timeout after that. Like Garrett you need to think also before replying stupidly

The stupidity is your thinking, (panting), Detroit just went 79 yards in three plays and you think calling a timeout at the half yard line when Detroit is running down trying to spike the ball so the defense can collect themselves when that's the same defense that couldn't stop three plays for 79 yards....you'd save 15 seconds and what if Detroit then runs three plays to score, that 15 seconds you saved by calling a timeout is gone...so give me a break with your failed logic..

Why does this team just accept that Dez is getting doubled and just give up?

He wasn't doubled that much, they where using DBs in run support all day there was plenty of opportunities to get the ball to Dez in 1 on 1 coverage on 1st and 2nd down all game. We're only helping the other team by not looking his way

That's garbage. Romo had 3 TDs NO INTS.

Garrett took the ball out of his hands the last two drives and put the game on the defense.

Romo led two TD drives in the 4th, both times giving 10 point leads.

But enjoy your fairy tale of Dez acting like a child being a spark

On the first pass to Dez that he was interfered with, I said, "good plan. Don't just sit on it, go for the jugular. Make them defend the whole field." Then Garrett decided to just sit on it for two plays and on a third and long, a conversion that hasn't happened all day, he decides to throw it which, when incomplete, stopped the clock and saved Detroit a time out. A time out that made the difference between winning and losing. Just. Bad. Coaching.

Other than Williams' TD, the offense looked lackluster all day. Dez's TD was a comeback route that was horribly played by the Detroit secondary.

This game fully exposed the talent issues that the Cowboys have on the lines. They were dominated on both lines today.

Romo looked unsettled for a lot of the game. Stafford could have baked a soufflet in the pocket today. The Cowboys were gashed on a few occasions on the ground, yet have no ability to run the football, or gain tough yards when they really need them.

Calvin Johnson showed how dominant he is. Brandon Carr was absolutely abused today.

Sean Lee showed that he may be the most instinctive LB in the game, and one of the best playmakers.

Dez Bryant showed once again how talented he is, and how much he still needs to grow up.

The Cowboys were poised to win a game that they had no business winning, and ended up with the result reflecting who had the better of the play today. I don't blame the coaches for this loss - this game was lost on the field, where Johnson was far superior to Carr, where the Cowboy defensive line couldn't muster any rush today, and where Scandrick committed the cardinal sin in coverage late in the game - you absolutely cannot let Kris Durham get behind you on that play.

And, don't look now, but the Giants are only two games back, and the Eagles only one back.

Detroit goes 80 yards, 50 seconds and no timeouts......only the cowboys

Thats called bad coaching............how you dont guard the sidelines with an umbrella shell is just beyond logical....................Playing man up on the outside WRs with soft safety help is about the worst defense you can play in that situation.

This loss is once again on Garrett.....................he dam sure can tell Kiffen to get into a different defense.

I'm glad Dez gets fired up. Our core are losers. Dez is super angry, but ware and witten trying to calm him down with no expression on their face. They are used to losing. I really want Garrett to be fired after this game. He might have lost the locker rook after this one.

Yea, I think Witten and Ware both are just used to losing at this point and it really doesnt bother them anymore............kinda sad really.

Apparently Dez is the only one with some balls that doesnt like losing..........................he is like, "why the hell are yall so calm and relaxed".....................Like I said, losing doesnt bother some players as long as they still get paid.

It's almost funny. No, wait, not funny. What's the word? Excruciating? Expected? Painful? What the hell is it with this team and these heartbreaking games?

When you have a head coach that has no idea what the hell he is doing................this is what happens.

Even scrub teams dont give up sideline routes with under a min left and the other team has no timeouts...............pathetic coaching and if we blow this division, Garrett needs to be fired in the lockerroom of that week 17 game.

It's time to realize that coaching is a MAJOR problem for this team (not to mention the playbook)
The Garrett fanboys will pin this on anybody but their golden boy................thay just cant face the reality that he is not the second coming of Landry.

I guess they forgot that in professional sports you actually have to win games to be considered a good head coach..................not this .500 crap that Opie throws up on the scoreboard season after season after season.

bottom line, Garrett's offense has steadily regressed every year. there is so much offensive talent on this team to have such a putrid offense.

The positive is 8-8 wins this division, and nobody does mediocre better than the cowboys.

News flash...............Giants are only 2 games back.........philly is only 1 game back...........Commanders are still hanging around................8-8 might win this division, but we may not be the team that is 8-8.

how many more games is this joke of a head coach going to lose by himself because he does not understand how to coach in final seconds again.

It would almost be worth losing the worst division in football if it would get Opie on a one way flight out of big D..........................I have never seen a worse coach in game management decisions at any level.

Cue the Garrett fanboys to start listing all the reasons why it is not his fault...............in 3, 2, 1......................

What is Garrett's record now on highly improbably losses?

First, there was the "number of losses in a season after holding a two score lead" record. Now, the record of teams with a +4 turnover advantage is 55-2 rather than 55-1.

At what point does this level of frivolity and incompetence on management and coaches?

Dont forget that we are also the only team in NFL history to lose a home game when scoring more than 45 points.....................................the hits just keep on coming with this clown of a head coach.
