while the Texans brought in TJ Yates 3 weeks ago, and last night was forced into action and defeated the undefeated Bengals.

The Bengals did a really good job of giving that game away, though.

That's the weird part. No matter what happens we get everybody's best effort. The Eagles beat us looking like a super bowl team and then play Miami and look like trash. Just how it is.

Seriously....I don't get it.

Weeden a 17 point higher QB rating overall than Cassel, with half the INT rate, 10% more completion percentage, a yard and a half more per pass attempt, similar sack rate, average yards per completion.....Weeden with a far less team support...no Dez Bryant, opponents averaging over 30 points against our defense versus 21 points in last 4 games...

Combined record of Weeden's opponents 19-9, winning 67.9%, Cassel's opponents 17-20, winning 45.9%....there is absolutely no case for choosing Cassel over Weeden.

Granted, there is no case for keeping either after the season, but Cassel over Weeden? Why? Is it a salary cap decision? Whose wife did Weeden get caught in bed with?

Cassel could move the ball. MAJOR issues in the red zone. Unbelievably inept.

Weeden was the three and out gran poohbah.

Pick your poison.

It was bound to happen sooner or later -- I'm just relieved they didn't wait 'til the offseason to get it done. There are far too many players that might be of way more useful service to this team than what Weeden could ever be.

This says more about Moore than anything else. A good sign for him.

True, maybe. The biggest fault Jerry made in the quarterback ranks was not to have an upcoming young QB to fill in. Jerry opted to bring in the guys whose career was fading rather than someone whose is on the upswing. Cousins in Washington?

Really doesn't matter which one they kept. If the season isn't already over, it certainly would be if either saw the field again.

tg.

Wait. No team outside of the state of Texas wants Weeden?

Many predicted he would get claimed by Indianapolis where Chudzinski would know him. Nope. I guess he prefers Charlie Whitehurst.
