The argument could be made that trading draft capital and paying big money to a WR2 for a team whose HC just said he isn’t trying to light up the scoreboard is a much worse strategy than counting on a 3rd round pick from S. Illinois to play at a high level immediately.

They moved on from Cooper and are now going to pay again to replace him with an older an almost as expensive player?

Seems like everyone with any say has their own plan going on, and telling the media all about it, but not each other.

It’s somewhere between ridiculous and embarrassing. All fixed by simply shutting up. They refuse.

No matter how you look at it, the Joneses look bad.

I’ll go as far as to say that I believe that giving Cooper away may have cost them a Championship this past season.

One, I have no idea what kind of contract they would give him. I am just laying out my reasoning why I can't get too excited about any potential OBJ acquisition.

I don't trust Jerry. Every once in a while Jerry does something dumb especially when he's gaga over some player (usually his own). They also know they have to get more weapons for Dak and WR is slim pickings in FA for that kind of upper level WR. I think they were shell shocked a bit about how poorly he looked in the San Fran game (and at times down the stretch of the regular season). OBJ was said to be holding out for a large/longer term contract just last year. Did I say I don't trust Jerry?

If the big move is OBJ on some one year, prove it deal, for even like $7-8 million? Fine by me. OBJ for 3 years, $40 million? Yeah, that's a hold your breath move for me.

It's gonna be OBJ, as he can sign now unlike the rest of the FAs

Given the Jones family, this is the best guess. Overpay for a guy who's been in a steady decline since he was great a decade ago.

Oh. From what your saying I don’t think the Cowboys pay him then. CeeDee is going to get close to 27 million a season. To be honest they better sign CeeDee before Jefferson or the Cowboys are screwed.

Ceedee is nowhere near good as Jefferson

Stephen’s kid or even possibly Charolette being named Co-GM?

I disagree I don’t think Jefferson has the same stats in Dallas with Cooper and Gallup. CeeDee would have had similar stats in Minnesota with Cousins. CeeDee at Tampa and San Francisco up in the playoffs. Jefferson was a no show. As usual another Cowboys fan underestimating CeeDee. Jefferson is better but it is close.

$260M fully guaranteed extension for Prescott. Take that Deshaun Watson and Lamar Jackson. The Browns and Ravens can get some too.

Gene talked her kids into bullying her husband by having an intervention that will coerce him to finally stepping down as general manager?

No?

Has to be something for a WR. Not a great draft for WR, but is for RB and CB.
