The argument could be made that trading draft capital and paying big money to a WR2 for a team whose HC just said he isn’t trying to light up the scoreboard is a much worse strategy than counting on a 3rd round pick from S. Illinois to play at a high level immediately.
They moved on from Cooper and are now going to pay again to replace him with an older an almost as expensive player?
Seems like everyone with any say has their own plan going on, and telling the media all about it, but not each other.
