Cowherd: "It's ridiculous to expect Dak to get over the hump, as it would be for Kirk Cousins."

BUT in the end he made the big plays when it mattered. That is the difference.
Yes. Exactly. That's why mahomes is elite. They need less and when there is a good team around them they make the plays. It also helps to have Andy Reid who also went to superbowl with McNabb.

Nah, it's only the Dak haters who think that way. Wish they would follow another team. Heck, they should follow their heart's desire and follow Mahomes since they worship him so much.
They are Bash Dak over Dallas cult. Some even said they hope Cowboys lose with Dak. Seriously they rather us lose than praise Dak. It tells you their agenda.

Once again, you've got absolutely nothing. You can't post any links the way I did because they will make you look foolish. The only who should be using "apologetics" here is you for your disproven anti-Dak rants.
What links do I need to post to prove the Chiefs leading rusher in the SB was a 7th round pick, Juju was his top WR, and 2022 team defense stats? You obviously know how to use a search engine, when you want to, so stop this charade.

I don't do Dak "rants" - I just live in reality. You haven't disproven anything. You've found ways to tap dance around his annual season-ending flop because it gives you hope that next year will be the year. That works for you, so enjoy it, but it doesn't work for me.

I'll believe Dak is all that when he proves it in the playoffs. I don't care if he lights up the Giants again in October. This franchise is about winning titles, at least it used to be.

What does it matter where any player is drafted or not? The yearly end result in production is all that matters. The links I provided each proof Mahomes is surrounded by among the very best in talent and production. THAT is why he excels so greatly. Give Dak better/more weapons, a better Oline, better Defense, better playbook and better playcalling, you will see Dak play much better. This year, the Cowboys have made lots of key changes (players and coaches) which on paper are much better improvements and better help for Dak. If he struggles yet again with this currently improved team, you will have a solid reason to chastise him (I will join you). But until then, be a little more fair in your comparisons and assessment.

It takes a Dak Hater to minimize Andy Reid's accomplishments....only the 3rd Winningest Coach in NFL playoff history behind Landry and Belichick.....

Dak Haters are untethered from reality.
I'm not a Dak hater. He's a good QB and seems to conduct himself well off the field.

I'm just not delusional about him as a player. He's shown us what he is for 7 years. I don't indulge in fantasies where he suddenly finds greatness and takes down the mighty Mahomes in a SB, assuming he actually ever gets there. That feels untethered from reality.

You ignored the fact that Mahomes had a worse defense backing him up than Dak, despite your baseless "top 10 defense" assertions (with no links). Suddenly, you became a link man when you needed new excuses after I debunked that nonsense.

You will never join me. When Dak comes up short again you'll find another bag of excuses. I'm done with excuses. If he gets the Cowboys to the SB I'll be the first to commend him for it. But I'll believe it if I see it. I don't care about apologetic stat links.

Once again, where are your links to support your rhetoric?

Here is a link proving you wrong yet again concerning Defense end-of-season rankings. The Chiefs Defense ranked #11, one spot better than the Cowboys Defense.

What a ridiculously ignorant comment. There is no other way to address your trolling comment.
Let's play DEATH IS NOT AN OPTION.

Pick one, mate:
Dak running to the 24 yard line to end a playoff game. End of season.
Or
Dak heaving a desultory ball from his 17 yard line to Turpin at the 33. End of season.

And some people defend him incessantly without any fault. Always someone elses.

I'll blame Dak where needed, but I will support him more often than not. Some of the interceptions last year were his fault, but, especially when you watch the tape, it's clear that some of the interceptions were clearly not his fault. I just don't like to completely disparage my own team's QB constantly. I think he's an excellent QB. I think he's better than most give him credit for, but I know he's not elite. But, I think he's in the tier just below that.

Dak is just another Kirk Cousins which isn't a bad thing but people really need to stop with all this hope that he is going to get better and change. His biggest weapon was his legs when under pressure and his biggest weakness under pressure is his arm. How in the heck are you going to win a SB with that.

But you indulge in fantasies where someone apparently stated "I don't indulge in fantasies where he suddenly finds greatness and takes down the mighty Mahomes in a SB, assuming he actually ever gets there"

Last time I checked, there has never been a QB "that suddenly found greatness"...

Reality is you have great ownership, scouting, drafting and team play to win a Championship...

Fantasies equal Peyton Manning (or any QB) finding greatness after being 0-4 in the playoffs....more like TEAM got better!!!

Dak Haters are Imbeciles!!:flagwave:

It is true until Dak and the boys prove it wrong. Does not matter what camp you are in when it comes to Dak is great or Dak is average. All the matters is winning Superbowls. Players and especially QB's are judged by it.
