whats he right about? The Cowboys would love to get an all pro left tackle.... but they simply evaluate the cost and in THEIR OPINION the cost isnt worth it.

So the Niners have gone all out. They traded away a ton to get Cmac... and they are currently on a three game losing streak. Now they gave away a 3rd for young who is a free agent next year. So they rented him for half the season for a 3rd round pick.

Now if the niners win a SB, great... but if they dont win it this year, they are screwed. Nobody knows how this will end up... but how dominant can Young be when the team didnt even pick up his 5th year?

EVERY TEAM has weak spots.... its the nature of the beast in a salary cap era. Our roster is young and extremely talented. We will lose Tyron next year. We will have Cee Dee and Parsons to deal with. This team can not be stupid right now IMO. This team IS good enough to make the SB and there is no way you can convince me any team in the NFC is that much better than Dallas, and if you believe that, you can also not convince me that getting 1 more player will be the thing that puts us over the top.

BUT, no matter what we do, Collin knows his bread is buttered talking about the Cowboys. Negative talk brings in as many viewers as positive talk about the Cowboys.
I don't think he was saying we "overvalue our future draft capital".... I think he meant we hold onto actual players we drafted way too long that are busts, instead of cutting bait (and the player) and admitting the mistake.

This had nothing to do with closing to not trade at the deadline

We already discussed this.

TE over a dominant guard. Which was an actual need.
I'm saying in reference to what should've been done at the deadline? They can easily draft a guard next year even though they seem to think Tyler Smith is their guard. But if he's saying we should've fixed our holes that we created this summer where are there? Can't say guard because Tyler Smith is there. Edoga was ok at swing tackle.

Edoga was ok?

He got destroyed on the first 3 plays of the game until they helped him lol.

As a swing tackle that's what I expect. If it was me i'd slide Tyron to right tackle or swing tackle or Steele to swing tackle and put Tyler at left tackle. I Feel i'd have a easier time finding a guard in free agency then I would a tackle. Ultimately for a short period of time i'm fine with Edoga filling in.

Im not a huge Dak fan, but we are not over paying for him. Daniels is getting 40 million a year, Dak is clearly better than he is. How much do you think Dak should be making. Lets start in increments of 4 million from 20 mill per season?
20,24,28,32,36,40,44,48 million per year.

How much do you think we should be paying Dak?
30m per season and escalators up to 40 depending on playoff success.

He has 5 sacks but he also missed another game with an injury. It’s just a matter of time before he gets hurt again, which is why Washington only got a third round pick for him. He was the second overall pick just three years ago so injuries are a big concern with him. We’ll see if San Francisco wants to pay him after this season. If not, then they just throw away a third round pick, unless he pays dividends this season.
They probably wont pay him after this season because they likely do not have the cap space. They are going for a Super Bowl though and needed to improve their pass rush as it has not been performing well.

He’s a super talented player who hasn’t stayed healthy. The talent is there it’s just about him staying on the field. Personally I liked sweat more just because he’d fit this roster better to me. But the price for the difference in him and what we have was high
I mean Sweat is also having the better year. Even with nothing else being said about him Sweat is simply playing better this year.

Look a lot better with Torrance there and Tyler at LT with Tyron as the swing tackle/or even coming in as an extra lineman in the RZ

You are not over-valuing your draft picks if you are really good at drafting quality players.

Would you trade a 6h round pick for a little D-line depth if you knew the pick was going to be Daron Bland? If you don't have that 6th round pick because you traded it, then you don't get valuable talent now and in the future with a cheap contract.

Those rookie contracts are critical is setting a salary structure within the cap and free agency.

They’ll certainly have to make some decisions. They signed Randy Gregory and now they’re bringing in Chase Young. Chances are they’ll move on from Gregory unless he were to have a great rest of the season. They may have to make a decision between Gregory and Young. Young would have the advantage due to his age and the 49ers giving up at third round pick for him. However, if he doesn’t perform or the injuries continue it could lead to a dilemma.

Keyshawn and Sherman do the same garbage.

”I expect the Rams to win. They are an explosive team. They have Stafford, Puka and Kupp! They will run it down your throats”

… gets blown out

”Come on! It was the Rams!!!!!”
All #facts. I hate this so MUCH.

How does TJ Bass compare to any of the guards drafted in the 2nd round this year? Bass has shown starter potential. Bass would quite possibly be starting if Martin and Tyler Smith were not ahead of him.

The Cowboys hit on both Bass and Richards. If there were a redraft today, both Richards and Bass go much higher.

Someone needs to tell Cowherd that Washington didn’t hit on Chase Young. He’s missed 23 games due to injuries. He has 6.5 sacks his last three seasons.
That was a bust....surprisingly.
Didnt expect him to dominate like at THE....but disappear?

But now hes gone. Maybe cow is right after all.

Bass compared to Torrance?
