Crabtree to re enter 2010 draft? *merged*

If he sits out a year, all the other NFL teams should just agree to pass on him until the 49'rs 2nd round pick comes up...LOL

I just don't get his logic..He can get paid top 10 money NOW, but he'd rather sit out a year and ONLY drop his stock. Ya because that makes perfect sense..

yeah his reasoning is terribly stupid.

I don't think they would want him back if he did this.

The point is moot though, he will sign.

the money scale shouldn't matter one bit.

It does matter when it impacts how much is available to retain proven veterans and encourage other talented players to come to our team. THAT'S why it matters.

Agent, 49ers agree: No threats of re-entry

Both the 49ers and the player rep for Michael Crabtree are denying that the No. 10 overall pick has threatened to sit out the season and re-enter the draft in 2010.
Despite confirmation from Crabtree's cousins and adviser, David Wells, agent Eugene Parker denies saying a word to anyone about a potential re-entry. According to AOL FanHouse, the 49ers "have no idea" what Wells is talking about. The ill-advised negotiating ploy has blown up in the Crabtree team's face. It's back to the drawing board. I know he'll get considerably less, but if he's serious about staying out all year. He would have to still play somewhere, I couldn't see him sitting on his *** for a year. He probably wouldn't go back to school to JUST be a student, and I can't see him gettin a 9-5 like a lot of us.

I'm not for this at all, just thinkin thru possibilities. Where's his mentor Primetime at to tell him he's killin his cred. Someone around this kid has to grab him aside and tell him the real for real. That agent is gonna kill his career before it even starts.

the system is what it is, is it broke? yes it is in my opinion, but this kid can't be blamed for trying to use this system to his advantage.

Who is this guys agent? Whoever it is, he is giving him bad advice.

Maybe the greedy Tech tard can dream up a better contract in his head...

Crabtree is proving that he is not just the basic idiot we all thought him to be, but a very special, once in a lifetime idiot. Jesus, take your millions, pipe down and play.

FINALLLY a jealous post from a rival school hahahahahaha. Poor A&M. How many years has it been since you've beaten us? Or had a corner who was capable of covering someone like Crabtree?

You better hope your big ole lineman sized WR pans out or your going to be crying though another loss to Arkansas State.

I'm not jealous at all. Guy was a great football player in college, and will continue being a great football player for many years in the NFL.

That doesnt change the fact that he has an IQ of about 73

Probably just careers where guys expect to make as much money as they can before doing anything without any guarantee of living up to that paycheck.

I'm just calling a spade a spade. He's acting like an idiot, and I'm treating him like one.

I'm not going to argue with a sophomore in college
