I have to say that a million times every year around draft time. NCAA Football != NFL Football :bang2:

I'm not saying he isn't talented, I'm just saying the kid has done **** and thinks he is owed 3rd overall pick money. If people thought he was worth 3rd overall pick, he would have been picked 3rd overall.

He wasn't, he needs to sit down and shut the **** up. If he wants the big buck, then he needs to shut his mouth and earn it on his next contract.

And the biggest problem I see with this... is that 10th overall money is STILL more than most regular people will make in a lifetime! He just needs to shut up and enjoy where he went, take the money, showcase his skills, and enjoy doing something that Millions of people would kill for, while making millions doing it.

:bang2:

Wide receiver sure are a different breed.

I say it all the time, but I just want one that gets open and catches the ball. I think they are all overrated.

No way he would do that.

He'll eventually sign. These threats happen every year with someone.

I hope he does though. Hate the Niners and wish nothing but the worst for them.

Let him reenter. He'll LOSE his value. That would be funny if he sits and they re-negotiate a new union contract with a rookie cap in it, before April of next year.

Sam Hurd is for you.

He's a rare breed among wide receivers these days. I'm sure he has an ego buried under there somewhere, but he doesn't show it.

He's only going to hurt his stock by sitting out. He'd be an idiot not to sign.

damn skippy. he got drafted 10, take the payslot and shut up and play. this "i'm better than that" is only going to raise flags across every GM in the league. who would want to trade for that headache?

if he re-enters the draft then people know if he's not drafted top 5 and going to get that money, you're just drafting a proven headache, and they'll move on.

i hope the 9'ers show some naddies and tell him to go sit down then.

Ridiculous post. It wont happen and even if it did, how many owners you think would be willing to throw more money at this guy for bucking the system?

Absolutely! Man, I love to hear his interviews.

The most impressive thing is that he's only 24! You forget that he came into the NFL as such a young guy. It's funny....IIRC, one of the knocks on him was that he was a little immature.

Haven't seen that at all.

But your the one saying he's not going to be a good NFL WR.

If you bothered to read I disagree with what he's doing, and the only thing I've been doing is defending his abilities as a WR on a football field.

Not his, and his adviser's antics in an agent's office.

I dont think people are questioning his skills, they're questioning his mindset. Sounds like it's easy to take advantage of him. To me that's a mindset and maturity thing.

It's hilarious that you guys are saying the exact same thing I was saying in earlier posts, but I get told I'm making enemies just because I think he's going to be productive on the field....

I agree 100%. I already said hes not being a man by letting people influence him so much.

So is Miles Austin, and maybe even Kevin Ogletree. And Patrick Crayton and Roy Williams are pretty tame by most standards.

This doesn't seem like a very wise move for a guy who's already carrying the baggage of durability into the league.

I'd of figured he and his agent would of felt like they were playing with house money, him being drafted at 10?

I guess I just don't think he's the caliber of player or done enough to merit all the talking he does, but thats just me and each person has different standards.

i don't think any rookie who's yet to play a down in the NFL have much leverge to demand much of anything.

get a rookie salary cap that goes by position drafted and close the door to the stupidity.

Just saw a scroll on ESPN that said "Crabtree is prepared to sit our season and re enter 2010 draft if he doesn't get fair maket value"

WOW. That would be insane..like the Niners need to be set back even more. I could see him keeping his word too. What a little diva!! He knows he was selected 10th overall right??

If he does re enter the 2010 draft I really hope Jerry doesn't have a crush on him..I hope we stay far away from him. I wouldn't even draft him in the 3rd. His value is going to go way down..we shall see.

Just like Eli Manning, John Elway...etc.etc.etc....

Eh, I appreciate you jumping in with that as there is plenty of room on the Crabtree bandwagon since im pretty much the driver and the passengers at the same time lol.

But those guys didn't want to play for particular teams. Crabtree's braintrust is encouraging him to hold out solely for more money.

Because people can not separate the two; to many people are an all or nothing when it comes to sports.
