Preach on brother Superpunk.
And the Wade did spake unto me, and he sayeth;

"Do not subject your star CB to unnecessary reps in training camp. For ye shall need him in the winter months, and he is verily already 29 years old. So, my little ones - if your superstar WR has a hamstring, shall ye not sit him? If your starting tackle is recovering from an injury, shall ye not bring him back slowly?

Aye...all this an more, shall be told unto ye - live...from Camp Cupcake."

Better hope it's not Plantar Fasciitis. That stuff will stick with him all season.

And BTW, Wade more or less said he didn't have much faith in the rest of the guys behind Glenn. Guess the reports that we weren't happy with our corner depth were no joke.
Pray that you-know-who avoids this thread.

Pray.

Well, the heel is awfully close to the achilles...

Great. Now I gotta fire off an email to the football gods. Every stinkin' offseason...................

Here's some wishful thinking...

Maybe he's just a little nicked up from training camp and they want to see what the other corners can do against better receivers.. or maybe Gurode finally tried to get him back for his training camp prank and accidentally stabbed him in the leg... Scissorgate II!

Please get well Newman. If he is out, the secondary will not be close to the same. I think he is so underated. He is more important then Roy. GET WELL SOON we hope that you GET WELL.

Newman was out last game aginst Denver and the secondary did not fall apart. He will be back before the start of the season.

Sirius satellite radio reported he had a strained Achilles.
Strained doesn't sound too bad, but I don't like hearing the word "achilles" in anybody's injury report. Hopefully, this thing won't linger. If it does, all the Newman bashers will understand where his supporters were coming from.

how did he go from "could've played if it were regular season" last week to out the rest of the preseason. Not that it matters but if it wasn't serious last week, how all of a sudden it's serious?
