Newman was out last game aginst Denver and the secondary did not fall apart. He will be back before the start of the season.

Strained doesn't sound too bad, but I don't like hearing the word "achilles" in anybody's injury report. Hopefully, this thing won't linger. If it does, all the Newman bashers will understand where his supporters were coming from.
