Didn't Tim Duncan have this two seasons ago? All the Spurs excuse-makers were blaming everything on it.

Actually-it was a BAD FOUL on Genobli(sp) that costed them another title that year.

Otherwise, Duncan played some outstanding BB with that injury.

With opposing QB's on their back crying like little girls, maybe there won't be much for TNew to do anyway :D

Bruised heal? Now saying its more than that? I sure hope its not an achilies. Anyone remember how Kevin Smith was after his achilies injury?

Plantar fasceitis (sp) has nothing to do with the achilles.

Or a syringe filled with "no-pain" juice.

Patrick Crayton had this his rookie season. He played through it because he knew he wouldn't make the team without it. He was fine after a few weeks, or so he reported.

Much ado about nothing.

I've dealt with PF. It does hurt, but it is something he can conceivably play with. Cortisone shots are a treatment, if necessary.

What worked for me, oddly enough, was deep tissue massage on the IT bands. I haven't seen it listed as a treatment, but I believe the tight IT bands are the reasons joggers usually get the injury. I had pain for about a year, and then cleared it up with 2 1-hour massage treatments, literally, I was able to walk out of the second treatment without a limp, and the problem never returned.

This is cosmic payback, for Newman putting crickets on Romo...I hope Terence recovers, and learns his lesson...

Plantar fasciitis does NOT last 2 weeks. I have had it 2 times. One time it lasted 6 months, the other time, 8 months. It HURTS. But having said that, if you warm up and stretch right, activity LESSENS the pain and further, will not make it worse.

you can never have enough corners. Unfortunately our GM only felt the need to address that in the 7th round despite having 2 corners on the wrong side of 30, and a bunch of nobodies besides T-New.

Hope he recovers. I dont want any excuses when we sweep you all this year;)

No, but in all seriousness injuries do suck especially when their to players of Newmans caliber. I wish him the best and hopefully this wont be to much of a hinderance for him.

It's definitely not a good thing to have. If he comes back to early he could aggravate it. This leaves me very worried. Strahan had it a couple times and he missed significant time. Westbrook had it. Chad Lewis had it, and all these guys were eventually IR'd.

So is the estimated time he is out now more then 2 weeks??? I haven't seen a timeframe for his return since this news came out.

Until I hear or read that an MRI is scheduled or see him in a walking cast, I am not going to sweat it.

I just spoke to a close friend of mine whose husband had Plantar Fascitis. He was in the military and was fairly active. She said that it took a full year before he was fully healed and he had to wear a metal cast at night to stretch the foot. I the n asked her in comparison to her husband if it is conceivable that he would be 100% in 2 weeks. She said, 'Oh gawd no...," and that running was out of the question. I know she isn't a doctor by any means but she has had experience dealing with it with her husband and many doctor visits. Hopefully Newman's isn't as severe but when Wade being somewhat evasive and also saying that it is worse than they thought kinda scares me...not to mention the recent trade rumors in an attempt to get CB depth...makes me think there is more than what Wade is letting on. Maybe we should have taken that kid from Georgia in the supplemental draft....
