I am aptly emotional.
remember that never before in known history have people had 24 access in the form of video, audio, commentary, etc. to live wars, and they also do not have the ability to discern 100% truth or the whole battlefield

War is horrible. If you are not going to go fight in it, don't fill your mind with it. Lots of children are going to be dying, and it could even turn into a bigger war

I am only saying that because of how you viewed my few comments

and it seems like every war in my time, what is portrayed going into, during, and that what we find out years later, is always different

Right now the people of northern Gaza are given 24 hours to evacuate to the south. They've been given fair warning.
That’s a glib perspective.

How do you evacuate 1,000,000+ in 24 hours and to what country? None of the bordering countries have opened their borders.

This is not like evacuating some podunk town into the local high school gym after a flood.

Acting like Hamas represents the views of all Palestinians is just a convenient coping strategy to justify killing of innocents.

You make a fair point Calpoly, but for the record the IDF has divided Gaza in half, they are telling Palestinians to move beyond the line to the south while they clear the north of Hamas.

Don’t get me wrong, my initial reaction to hearing about the Hamas attacks and then the subsequent counterattack by the Israelis was kinda “well, they brought it upon themselves,” but the reality is this group (Hamas) is acting unilaterally.

I agree in that they are acting unilaterally and apart from the majority of the Palestine people but they are receiving 95% of their support from Iran making their activities symbiotically in line with Iran.

The big lie is that there is or ever was an Arab country or state called Palestine. The propagation of this lie has been going on for more than 75 years. The original pre-WWII meaning of the word Palestine was meant to describe what eventually became Israel. "Palestine" is now a word adopted by antisemitic Arabs to describe their dream of what is now Israel free of Jews and Christians. So when you hear the chant, "Free Palestine", that is actually a call by antisemitic Arabs for the death of all Jews and Christians in Israel so that Israel can solely be occupied by Arabs. They would no doubt rename the country of Israel, Palestine.

The beat goes on. Arabs and Jews will continue to kill each other in the Holy Lands. Someone send those guys up to Northern Ireland to see that it can be worked out, even with different religions.

Before anyone jumps on me, this is in jest. Just sad that this situation is occurring, and this region can never find any long-term peace.

SNL Cold Opening: Pete Davidson shares his thoughts about Israel situation and his father dying in 9/11, before premier of SNL last night.

https://www.cnn.com/2023/10/15/entertainment/pete-davidson-snl-opening/index.html

This week, we saw the horrible images and stories from Israel and Gaza. And, I know what you’re thinking, who better to comment on it than Pete Davidson? (laughter)

Well, in a lot of ways, I am a good person to talk about it because when I was seven years old, my dad was killed in a terrorist attack. So, I know something about what that’s like.

I saw so many terrible pictures this week of children suffering – Israeli children and Palestinian children – and it took me back to a really horrible, horrible place. No one in this world deserves to suffer, especially not kids.

After my dad died, my mom tried pretty much everything she could do to cheer me up. I remember one day when I was eight, she got me what she thought was a Disney movie but it was actually the Eddie Murphy stand up special, “Delirious.” We played it in the car on the way home and when she heard the things that Eddie Murphy was saying, she tried to take it away. But then she noticed something, for the first time in a long time I was laughing again.

I don’t understand it. I really don’t. I never will. But sometimes comedy is really the only way forward from tragedy.
My heart is with everyone whose lives have been destroyed this week. But tonight I’m going to do what I’ve always done in the face of tragedy and that’s try to be funny. Remember, I said try. And live from New York, it’s Saturday Night.

Anyone else want to open their traps about how this isn't an ethnic cleansing and just them targeting Hamas? I guess the Palestinians they let live can what, come back and stand in the rubble? Oh and it won't be Arab countries accepting the refugees after all of this, it will be European countries with a whole new generation of radicalized children.

Thanks, Israel.

It is certainly debatable whether this is ethnic cleansing.

Perhaps if Israel launched an unprovoked attacked against Gaza or, maybe, attacked without providing prior notice, you might have a point.

To me, it seems the refusal by neighboring Arab countries to accept Palestinians is a far worse issue.

What ethnicity are you referring to? And how exactly is it being "cleansed"? What "Arab" countries are you pretending to be accepting refugees? So far I haven't observed any. It's funny how you think these children wouldn't be radicalized anyway without Israel's action. After all, growing up in Hamas-controlled Gaza isn't exactly the best environment to raise non-radicalized children.

Al-Ahli National Baptist Hospital was just bombed. Innocent civilians were getting the help they needed just to be hit with another bomb. Death toll is estimated to be around 500.

In other news Habib's Missiles and Munitions located in the basement of Al-Ahli National Baptist Hospital will be closed temporarily for renovations. Looks like it'll need some paint and a #!@$ load of screen doors.
