I don't disagree, but he will be picked up to be an in the box Safety... with his speed and tackling tenacity... and mean disposition... I would love to see him run blitzing from that spot... put Wilson at CB he will look like Joseph...lolI think this dude is hanging by the thinnest of threads that got even thinner last night. I do applaud the coaching staff for taking action in the JAX game and benching him. They see what we see and that was the first step.
His ST penalties will be the nail in the coffin!
2 flags on kick offs last night... the last one was the worst you can get.. running into the returner before he catches the ball. #1 is an idiot. He cant help himself with penalties even in limited plays..He is a wasted pick, he’s a liability in coverage and also now on ST apparently. The fact he was laughing after the fair catch interference call was enough for me. This guy is a knucklehead. Get rid of him. Also. If anyone noticed. His reaction when the ball came out was so delayed. He is just not it. Cut him and show some accountability to the rest of the roster.
Now if I had a better upgrade just hanging out and KJ had no choice but get cut, it's a different story, but as you know, this team has available options with KJ while Q figures this secondary shift out first, without making an emotional move with KJ.While I appreciate and agree with your frustation, cutting him at this time would not be wise as we have limited options on upgrading over him at this time.
Bring him into camp next year and see what you got, bring in competition.
Then make your decision,
Everybody listens to Jerry and comes away with an understanding.Jerry already told him he needs to grow up. Nothing. Cut him. Period.
Other than the mistake last night he still has played well on special teams. With the playoffs starting in a couple of weeks this isn’t the time to start cutting players. We can do that after the season. Joseph likely won’t be here next season.
Just give Joseph more time like Trysten Hill
Yep, to bring in somebody off the street and expect them to learn the system this late is just not practical. Now if I had a better upgrade just hanging out and KJ had no choice but get cut, it's a different story, but as you know, this team has available options with KJ while Q figures this secondary shift out first, without making an emotional move with KJ.
KJs leash has become much shorter though, that should be obvious to all.
KJ actually had two big penalties on special teams .. the other was a block in the back on a punt return ... and to think they anointed him as captain of special teams at one point.
His stock is down, even on special teams. He's not a heady smart player. But that said, we still need his familarity on the roster at this point.
Wright went out injured twice and KJ had to make up the absence.
He should never see the field again. Like you said, his draft pedigree is the only reason he's still around. He should have never made the team this season, but Jerry couldn’t bring himself to cut a relatively high second round pick this soon. As poorly as he’s played, we still need him around as insurance in the event of injuries. The playoffs are only two weeks away.
Defensively yes...Yep, to bring in somebody off the street and expect them to learn the system this late is just not practical.
I agree100%.He is a wasted pick, he’s a liability in coverage and also now on ST apparently. The fact he was laughing after the fair catch interference call was enough for me. THAT HE CAN !!!!!!!!!!!!!Defensively yes...
But we got Hilton that can run the go.....
The league made it even easier now to do so.Just give Joseph more time like Trysten Hill
Look at the QB Tennessee picked up 8 days ago. A super smart hard working guy that has some talent. He should never see the field again. Like you said, his draft pedigree is the only reason he's still around.
I would trust a hungry, intelligent CB who's currently working his butt off on some other team's practice squad more than I would trust Joseph in the playoffs.
You don’t know that. Joseph is pretty terrible and he makes really dumb mistakes!we are thin at corner...and whoever we sign will play just like Joseph or worse
I'll play corner and then everyone will beg for Joseph to come back. What if you cut him and 2 corners get hurt.
Joseph had 2 penalties on Special Teams last night. He doesn’t know the rules of the game!! AND doesn’t seem to want to learn them!Other than the mistake last night he still has played well on special teams. With the playoffs starting in a couple of weeks this isn’t the time to start cutting players. We can do that after the season. Joseph likely won’t be here next season.
