You don't cut a draft choice tray you thought deserved an opportunity....you coach him up! Fans don't get that..
Im sorry I don’t have your extensive coaching history but I also can tell this kid just doesn’t care. He isn’t responding to the tough love route, the coddling route, what other route is there? Lol. He also shouldn’t have been drafted in the first place, but that’s on them and an entirely different discussion.

This would be the perfect opportunity to cut him. I see both sides of things.

Reasons not to cut him
- he plays a position we are thin at
He’s good on special teams (?)
He’s cheap

Reasons to cut him
His play warrants it
Due to his bad play the expectation is low for the next guy behind him
So late in the season sends a message to the team especially fringe players that poor play regardless of who and when is not tolerated

It's looking like Kelvin Joseph isn't one displaying real promise of future development.
At this point in time, he's surely proving to be more of a curse than a blessing. :omg:

I'm somewhat confident that we won't see too much of him in the weeks yet to come.

I like to think I know the game pretty well. One thing I do know is psychology and body language and his screams “I don’t care”. I’ve also watched him specifically multiple times being lazy. He’s also had some good coverages also I’m not saying he’s horrible. I’ve seen him lose leverage, commit very stupid penalties as well. I don’t know if he can be coached. Look at his LSU days.
You ever see a player, play that bad after being benched for poor play?

Mostly head cases love the game though. See Dez as exhibit A. That’s all I am saying. He needs to find his passion again as Gordon Ramsay would say.
You spend too much time just staring at just the Cowboys then.
This is not just a Cowboys problem/issue, it is league wide.

The real questions is this, can we foresee a situation in the playoffs after a loss where we ask ourselves “would we have won if bossmanfat were in instead of xyz corner?” I personally can’t see that situation ever happening. I’d say cut him. Let’s be honest , if he were a 6 rounder would any of us care? I like the fact that cutting a second rounder at a position of need , so close to the playoffs lets the team know we are all in on getting the best guys to play and be on this team and will not tolerate poor play from ANYONE

He did exactly what they teach them to on that STs play. The returner originally misjudged the ball and it carried him to where Joseph was already. He can't see that the guy misjudged the ball.
I agree with you. Looked like he stopped to give returned space to catch and receiver team into Joseph. I get that will draw a penalty but I'm not down on him.

He has talent to be a lockdown corner, just feel mentally he is making mistakes.

I would let him play corner the entire game against Washington and see what he can do. Can't bench a guy after a bad play, let him with through it.

There’s no point cutting him right now. He will have to earn a position during the offseason like everyone else. His cap hit is negligible.
