Not sure it matters who the hc is. The problem will still be here. Jerry will be in the draft room and running football operations until he gives up the ghost. But the best chance we have at hc might be Mike Vrabel. He's at least younger, and might infuse some new life into the club. Bill B MAYBE but he's really old and this team needs so many things, I just don't see him walking into a rebuild at his age.

good thoughts. Im not really interested in BB but you do bring up some good stuff.
I like BB culture approach, his D mind…..meld that with a modern OC and keeping our draft team…..might work out. Culture is such a problem here….preparation, game planning, discipline, attitude…..BB has always had that checked with his teams through the years. Do agree he needs help with offense and drafting though lol.

I'm sure whoever it is, it will be some retread coach. Who knows though, maybe Jerry surprises. It would be glorious if it was a Ben Johnson type hire. That would give us fanbase at least some hope.

It will be either a past his prime retread desperate for one more chance at a decent paycheck or an easily managed no name.

Billy B. will never come here.

My top picks

** Belichick
** Arron Glenn
** Vrabel

Wildcard........Bill Callhan
Don't laugh, no coach knows the trenches as well as this guy. He's the Andy Reid, Shanahan or Belichick of OLine coaches. Want a coach to fix the run on both sides of the ball, this is your guy.

The Dallas Cowboys still have at least 11 games left in their 2024 season. The mood, however, is pretty grim as the club exits their bye week. Sitting at 3-3, the club will return to the safety of the road for their next contest, a remarkable turnabout from how things have been the last two seasons. Somehow, the pressure of being at home has become too much for the organization, falling woefully behind in four contests (dating back to the wild-card game) and only making one of them competitive.

Honorable Mentions:

Dan Pritchard, Cincinnati Bengals OC
Ryan Grubb, Seattle Seahawks OC
Adam Stenovich, Green Bay Packers OC
Ejiro Evero, Carolina Panthers, DC
Only coach that has a chance of overcoming Jerry undermining him is BB.

Not familiar with Texans OC but he's a Shanahan guy and it would make a lot of sense. Ben Johnson I'm a fan of. Monken I don't know much about

Won't matter as long as Trash Prescott is the QB.

Give me Kubiak or someone from the Shanahan tree or Reid tree. Belichick has done nothing without Brady...

seems like Kubiak has lost some stock since after first two games vs Carolina and Dallas ... return to mortal status.

someone young --tired of all these retread coaches
Won’t happen.

JJ won’t hire some young coach and let him “find his way,” because JJ knows he’s on borrowed time.

He will foolishly set this team back another five years at a minimum.

Age not a factor as long he is healthy and can stand on sideline ... but Bill ran off GOAT tom Brady,..and eventually his own owner even ran him off - even after all the dynasty SB trophy years .. He's too difult and intolerable to work with ..

... plus he has had a recent shady trend of terrible OC's and play callers ..that's not an encouraging sign for Dak Prescott immediate upgrade and improvement .

And Jerry is gonna want someone that will best invest in his highest paid NFL player in Dak ... and that's not Belichek.

B
1. Ben Johnson
2. Ben Johnson
3. Kingsbury

- Ben Johnson OC Detroit Lions
- Bob Slovick Houston
- Joe Brady OC Buffalo
- Clint Kubiak OC Saints
- Adam Stenavich OC Green Bay

Question of the Day: Is it totally out of the question with former OC Kellen Moore as new Cowboys HC - per relationship with Jerry ?
