Regardless if the Eagles lose to the Giants next weekend, the Cowboys can't get the #1 playoffs seed since the 49ers won today and definitely are not going to lose next weekend against the Cardinals. This means the 49ers would get the #1 playoff seed while the Cowboys get the #2 seed. The Cowboys don't want to get the #2 seed, because that means we would have to play against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers (#7 seed).

It would be best if the Cowboys stay at the #5 wildcard spot. This way the #7 seed Packers would play whomever is the #2 playoff seed (whether the Eagles or the 49ers). Let Aaron Rodgers and the Packers play and beat that #2 seed while the Cowboys play the #4 seed easier Buccaneers. Once the Packers beat the #2 seed, they will have to play whomever ends up as the #1 playoff seed. Meanwhile, the Cowboys would play the easier #3 Vikings or #6 Giants (whomever wins their wildcard match) in the second round Divisional Round.

If the Packers beat the #1 seed in the 2nd round (divisional) AND the Cowboys beat either the #3 seed Vikings or #6 seed Giants (whichever wins the wildcard match), the Cowboys would host the Packers for the NFC Championship Game (round 3).

That's the easier and best route to the Super Bowl.
The packers haven't clinched that last playoff spot yet.
Seahawks and Lions still ahead of them.
Obiviously if GB beats DET they are out; but I don't know if SEA also wins, putting both the Seahawks and Packers at 9-8 ....who gets in based on whatever the tiebreaker setup is.

I heard that the Saints had no shot in Philly.
If Jalan place they didn’t… if anyone told you they had no shot with Minshew a quarterback, then they didn’t know what they were talking about. Minshew is a God awful putrid mess of a quarterback. A very poor man’s Dak Prescott… Inconsistently very good stats, consistently gives games away.

I’m going off of what NFL doctors have said, I.e. Dr Chao. I am not a doctor, but I know how to read LOL

Usually if you have 5 different docs in the room you'll get 5 different perspectives and opinions lol but I generally enjoy Dr Chao as well

Packers win and they're in. Simple as that.

What is the tiebreaker that puts 9-8 GB in over 9-8 SEA, should Seahawks win too?
Seattle currently holds the 7th spot...but it is with 3-way tie with Detroit and Green Bay.

Just researched it -- both SEA and GB finish 9-8, the Packers get the last spot due to a better conference record.

Both teams will play their starters.. Eagles for seeding and giants haven't won anything yet.. they know eagles will play their starters and play hard which means. This is basically a free opportunity for the giants to play the eagles who were one of the best teams all year to see where they really are.. almost like when they played the pats week 17 in 07

Jalen a Hurts is playing on Sunday. An eagles source told Sal Pal as much tonight. The eagles crushed the Giants in New Jersey just a few weeks ago. The current line is eagles by 13.5.

never say never, but The Giants have no shot in Philly.
And I bet no one here saw Cooper Rush would go 5 and 1 … but he did. This is football. Never say never…

The giants aren't good enough to be taking weeks off. This could be a huge test for them heading into the playoffs. Am experience that might actually help them. Hopefully they at least play the first half and decide what to do based on that.

That’s just it, this type of injury does not affect the level of play. It is very difficult to make this injury worse with playing, and with an injection it’s like there’s no injury at all.… If he even needs an injection. According to sal pal, Hurts was very close to playing today …

In New Jersey the Eagles won by 26…And it wasn’t even that close LOL. Don’t get your hopes up, play this game 100 times the Giants maybe win once…I think this one will be over by halftime. And then we can get on to the interesting part of the season… At least we will be involved And seemingly have a shot.
Lol. First of all. A shoulder sprain to the throwing shoulder of a QB doesn’t affect the play? Lol so why didn’t he play the last 2 weeks.

Second of all. Your username is a poor attempt and trying to hide your eagle fandom. Go back to bleeding green nation!

Packets beat out Seattle. But if the lions beat the Packers, they'll need Seattle to lose. Seattle has the tie breaker over the lions.

i don't believe in resting player for games either this close to playoffs,

i believe in continuing to peddle to the medal and rolling with momentum and play mode into the playoffs.

Only if we blow the hell outta Washington that leads to pulling out key playyers into the 4th quarter that we should doing that.

Nice in theory, however, injuries are more likely at this time of year and some players (such as Micah, DLaw, Pollard), need rest. Now that the chance of a bye week by getting no.1 seed is unlikely (49ers or Eagles) we need to take this opportunity to make sure our key players are fit for when it matters.

Lol sorry about the title mess up

That is what is he saying Sunday after the excitement of making the playoffs. The Giants have a real chance of beating Minnesota. It would not be smart to play his guys against Philadelphia with how injuries happen.

Eagles will have all the motivation in the world while the Giants will have none. Usually results in a lopsided scoreline despite starters playing or not.

We just really need to hope for no injuries next Sunday. If the wrong guys get banged up, it could put us at a serious disadvantage in the first round.
It’s funny that not only Tampa has a healthy team but their division is so bad that they get a bye. The Cowboys have to rest Parsons, Diggs and DLaw no matter what. We going to get Brady or Rodgers no matter what.

Wouldn't matter. The Giants won't be mentally prepared to win that game. They have nothing to play for. The Eagles are playing for home field.
They’ve been playing for home field the last two weeks. Hurts or no Hurts, they are reeling.

if Danny Dollars or any of our “stars” go down with an injury is what is pretty much a meaningless game, Daboll will have to face the intense NY media as well as the National media as to why he made this call. Is it worth it? What can you gain by playing key people who probably can use the rest to heal?
