I guess they have one reason to try and win this game and that’s to avoid SF in the first round. They would likely face Minnesota I think if SF takes the 1 seed and Dallas 2, Minnesota 3.

Players and coaches don’t think like fans, who they should and want to play, avoid, etc..they only think about health and making sure they don’t lose any important players to injury which is much more valuable than a matchup you really can’t control. He has every right and should sit everyone

As expected, backtracking as he should, giants should and will use it as a bye week. Boys have nobody else to blame but themselves for blowing the jville game

Doesn't mean that Daboll won't have the Giants back ups ready to play tough and physical if they do play. Lane Johnson will still be out and unless the Eagles OL can completely keep Hurts upright and clean all game, Hurts can still be exposed to taking the wrong hit or making his injury worse. All due to the Eagles not taking care of business and now having to rush Hurts back, when they could have rested him for the next few weeks.

Regardless if the Eagles lose to the Giants next weekend, the Cowboys can't get the #1 playoffs seed since the 49ers won today and definitely are not going to lose next weekend against the Cardinals. This means the 49ers would get the #1 playoff seed while the Cowboys get the #2 seed. The Cowboys don't want to get the #2 seed, because that means we would have to play against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers (#7 seed).

It would be best if the Cowboys stay at the #5 wildcard spot. This way the #7 seed Packers would play whomever is the #2 playoff seed (whether the Eagles or the 49ers). Let Aaron Rodgers and the Packers play and beat that #2 seed while the Cowboys play the #4 seed easier Buccaneers. Once the Packers beat the #2 seed, they will have to play whomever ends up as the #1 playoff seed. Meanwhile, the Cowboys would play the easier #3 Vikings or #6 Giants (whomever wins their wildcard match) in the second round Divisional Round.

If the Packers beat the #1 seed in the 2nd round (divisional) AND the Cowboys beat either the #3 seed Vikings or #6 seed Giants (whichever wins the wildcard match), the Cowboys would host the Packers for the NFC Championship Game (round 3).

That's the easier and best route to the Super Bowl.
Also we want the 49ers at two to be honest, because just like we don’t want to play the packers , even more so the packers don’t want to play the 49ers. I’m fine with the 5th seed

Right, they may want to rest Hurts if the oline can't get it together. It's one thing to play your injured qb, it's another to do it with a beat up oline.

I get what you’re saying. But beating Ehlinger/Foles and a team that’s 4-11-1 doesn’t seem like the win you need to hang your hat on

As a Giant fan, I can honestly tell you….the way we won yesterday’s game is all I need to carry me over to our rematch with Minnesota. Honestly, I don’t see how a victory over Philly next week would give me that much of a rush like this past game has given me. We still will be #6 and we still will play #3 Minny.

Would a Giant win over Philly increase our chances to beat Minny? If you could guarantee me it would, then I probably would try to win. But if it can’t be proven, I just can’t take the chance of losing one of our key essential players to injury. At the very least, I would not want the following players to play the second half of the game:

Danny Dollars
Saquon
Sexy Dexy
Big Cat, Leonard Williams
Xavier McKinney
Adoree Jackson
Daniel Bellinger
Richie James
Kayvon T
Azeez Ojulari
Andrew Thomas

Jalen a Hurts is playing on Sunday. An eagles source told Sal Pal as much tonight. The eagles crushed the Giants in New Jersey just a few weeks ago. The current line is eagles by 13.5.

never say never, but The Giants have no shot in Philly.

Or a rusty and injured QB comes out in Philly and stinks up the joint.

If I’m Big Mike and I get wind the Giants are resting starters, I’m resting mine. I don’t care how the NFL tries to jigga-rig it.

The Giants may not rest their starters but it's not like they are gonna march into the Vet and do anything either. HA HA HA

They just got smoked "at home" by the eagles in a game that was over by halftime lol.

Our Playoff game will be the 3rd road game on GRASS in 3 weeks.

That's a lot of travel

And ya know Washington is a tougher place to play on the road on grass and they'll be up for playing the spoiler.

The Skins have nothing else to play for and most would agree that we don't either. But we can get some practice on the Grass where we're 1-3 this year.

We're only 4 point favorites. So the odds makers are predicting a close game for us and blowout wins for Philly and Sf.

He’s lying.

They likely get 1-2 quarters tops. Very offense etc
Hes not lying... this guy wants to win, and honestly that team has zero chance to win the SB this year, so this guy is all about building a culture. How big would it be for his team to beat the Iggles next week, WITH hurts playing?

We all know hurts is gonna light up the Giants this week and keep his status for the MVP.

All the talk is on Hurts because their backup QB sucks.

Are you gonna play your MVP candidate against the saints top defense or bring him in at the last minute to be the hero against the Scrub Giants that you could beat with a 4th string QB??? Ha ha ha

The hero comes in and saves the Day.

Sf didn't lose that game. And there wasn't a time that I thought they would

They gonna get Deebo back this week and Run the table imo.

While the Giants have a choice in whether or not to play their starters, the Eagles don't. Which is why they say now that Hurts is "healthy enough" to play against the Giants. Whatever that means.

Either way the Eagles need this game and the Giants don't, and Philly blew the doors off New York a couple weeks ago.

I'm hoping for the best but preparing to remain the 5th seed.

Teams play better when they have too.

Rodgers and Brady played like Doo Doo pie until they pulled it out in crunch time right???

The eagles didn't have to win yesterday.

And they played like it.

The MVP will come back w their rpo offense and SAVE THE DAY against the hapless Giants

Just look at the players mentioned that the Giants fan would rest in the thread above

Outside of Saquon they all a bunch of Jags

We will see once the Wednesday practice report comes out. But either way, they know no one expected them to make the playoffs anyway so they can pretty much do whatever they want.

That's the difference between NFL Players/Coaches/Owners/ETAL and people who flap their yaps. The Giants DID expect to make the playoffs. They could give a rats coitus what anybody thought. And good for them.

That team I saw against Da Raiders can be had. Easily. I don't see any reason to be scared of the 49ers unless your just a scared Mofo.
