It could very well be said that the Eagles had to win against either the Cowboys or Saints. Because they really don't even know whether or not Jalen Hurts will be 100% to play against the Giants. And they'll leave open the possibility of him playing all week long, yet won't even know for certain until either the end of this week or on game day Sunday.

As a Giant fan, I can honestly tell you….the way we won yesterday’s game is all I need to carry me over to our rematch with Minnesota. Honestly, I don’t see how a victory over Philly next week would give me that much of a rush like this past game has given me. We still will be #6 and we still will play #3 Minny.

Would a Giant win over Philly increase our chances to beat Minny? If you could guarantee me it would, then I probably would try to win. But if it can’t be proven, I just can’t take the chance of losing one of our key essential players to injury. At the very least, I would not want the following players to play the second half of the game:

Xavier McKinney

Totally understandable viewpoint. Nothing is guaranteed. But a win, or a close fought game against Philly gives your team the confidence that they can beat anyone. Oh wait, sorry, you already have that confidence, you beat the Colts.

The Giants head coach is going to take grief no matter what he does. There are people on both sides of the fence. I was listening to New York's major sports radio station, and I'd say more people are for the Giants to try to beat the Eagles. Including the hosts. But that was on and off from around 9pm to 6am.

I think the Giants coach will do what is seen as the right thing to do. Even if it isn't. He can always fall back on, it was a meaningless game.
