yep... they will crush the Giants, just like they did the Colts and Bears.......uhm......

I mean you do realize that in the Colts and Bears games they played their starters and tried to win, right?

The Giants don't need the win and could very well bench most of their better players. Conversely, Philly is going to play all their starters, including maybe Hurts. We won't know exactly what the teams will look like and do until game time but if it plays out that way, yeah, Philly is likely to destroy them.

Your comparison isn't really applicable.

Ya"d think our Cowboys would blow the Skins' out this week and they'ed be at least 14 point favorites too since Washingtons QB situation is Skiddish

Buts it's our second game in a row away and on Grass and it's only 4 pts lol

I guess they figure if Gardner Minscrew can carve us up then Carson Wentz can at least keep it close. ha ha ha

We're 1-3 on grass this year and coming off that first win last week.

And we're looking at 2 more grass road games in a row.

If we only win 1 out of 2 these next 2 weeks I'd rather it be against TB

Grass is our Kryptonite esp when the other team has a top QB

Lol sorry about the title mess up

I read where Barkley who’s been in on 80 percent of the Offensive snaps probably will be a spectator . Don’t expect Jones much or guys like Thibodeaux. Probably rest Jaylon Smith get him ready for playoffs .

Of course it isnt applicable, because it doesnt align with your view that the Giants will sit everyone and the Eagles will crush them. The Giants will play this game.

Nice in theory, however, injuries are more likely at this time of year and some players (such as Micah, DLaw, Pollard), need rest. Now that the chance of a bye week by getting no.1 seed is unlikely (49ers or Eagles) we need to take this opportunity to make sure our key players are fit for when it matters.

if they are injured in the first place to where they could aggravate existing injuries yes, ..if they are operable enuff to where the division, playoff home field advantage
and possible bye round all is on the line, then you need your team finishing because you don't want complacent from a layoff to sink in. ..

and it's a different between resting to heal ...vs resting to gain a second wind of breathe,

I think that line has something to so with the assumption that the Giants are going to rest their starters. We have yet to see how Hurts plays when not 100 percent. If he plays, you can bet that the Giants aren't going to go easy on him and will attempt to hit. pressure and sack him as much as possible to test out that shoulder of his.

Hmmmm....I was thinking they wouldn't try to sack the QB, or hit any offensive player (including the QB)

But you might be right. Maybe they WILL try to sack him and tackle him! THOSE SNEAKY GIANTS!!!

The Giants will yank their starters like they are trying to start a lawnmower

I wouldn't be surprised if the eagles make Hurts active, but start Minshew to see how he does, especially if the Giants sit multiple defensive starters.

I'd go the other way....they'll start Hurts, get a double digit lead, then hand the keys to Minsh-ewwwww, and tell him "don't F this up" and just run it every play

Eagles will have all the motivation in the world while the Giants will have none. Usually results in a lopsided scoreline despite starters playing or not.

We just really need to hope for no injuries next Sunday. If the wrong guys get banged up, it could put us at a serious disadvantage in the first round.
NFC East Match is always grimey. Plus they can spoil Phili's plans and make them a wild card team. NFC East is going full bore Sunday no matter what.

Wouldn't matter. The Giants won't be mentally prepared to win that game. They have nothing to play for. The Eagles are playing for home field.
A couple players looking for contracts could make plays. We shall see.

You need to learn to read. I have no view. I laid out a scenario that is very likely to happen that would kind of work against your theory that Philly could struggle this weekend to beat the Giants using the Bears and Colts games as proof.

I don't know what Daboll plans to do. My guess is if he does play some starters, it likely will only be for a short period and not an entire game. I also don't know if Hurts really is ready to play. But IF (note that word), Daboll ends up resting many of his better players and Hurts plays along with most of the other Eagles starters, Philly likely won't have much problemw with NY.

If anyone has a "view" it's you claiming the Giants will apparently play to win and play all their starters. You have no idea if that's true or not.

My "View," comes from the guy that makes the decisions that was in the first post of this thread, that you apparently didnt pay attention to.

I wish Jerry had built a real football stadium and not a mall. Yea it’s pretty and all but I’d rather play on grass in the elements. But we know Jerry making money is more important than creating a real home field advantage.

I did but if you listen to his entire press conference, he more than opens the door to the realization that they won't play their starters much, if at all. For example, right after that exchange he said this:

DABOLL: We’ll talk about it and do what’s best for the team. So, it’s early Monday. Go out there and try to have a good week of practice, prepare like we normally do, and then decide what we want to do relative to who’s playing, who’s not playing. Whatever we think is best for our team, that’s what we’ll end up doing.

DABOLL: [Giants general manager] Joe [Schoen] and I will have some conversations, talk to the coaches. I don’t think we need to make that decision right now. So, again, we’ll do whatever we think is best for our guys and our team come this week.

Pat Leonard one of the beat guys for SNY said it sounded like they are gonna rest guys. Someone just linked another beat guy above.

Granted, you only had that clip to go on in the OP. But digging just a bit shows that in no way was Daboll committed to playing all his starters. In fact, the more he talked the more it sounded like they are leaning the other way.
