Dak and Zeke no respect. Wentz rookie of the week again?

Ummmmm, this isn't media bias at play here.

The NFL Pepsi Rookie of the Week is based on fan voting. Eagles fans are just flooding the voting.

Coke, no Pepsi.

Carson Wentz was named NFL offensive rookie of the week again for his last weeks performance.
You know the game where he threw an awful interception to cost his team the game with 2 minutes left against a bad Lions team.

Wentz had a QB rating of 102.8 QBR 60.9
Dak has a QB rating of 117.9 QBR 87
Zeke had 15 for 134 for 8.9YPC

Wentz has won the award 3 times in 4 weeks.
This reminds me of the 2014 season when Romo and Demarco were passed up for MVP for Rodgers. Or is this an anti Cowboys bias going on here.

Yes, the NWO is anti-Cowboys.

Didn't know that, Syd. Thanks for posting this, I was getting hot, man. Makes sense now.

not really, Ryan Matthew's fumble was the difference. Wentz went for it all on that play, and threw an int, but at that point, the odds were stacked against them.
Not true. It was 1st down and they only needed a field goal to win the game. Other players were open and he made a poor read and a poor pass. Here is the breakdown of the play if you want to read for yourself.
He should have made the underneath read, ran, or threw the ball away.

For me, this is bull <censored>, as I think it does matter, to a small degree, to our guys. It's like a little recognition for them from the league doing a fine job. I'm sure some players couldn't care less (especially Dak).

I wish I had the same point of view as the rest of you, it would lower my blood pressure and temper.

But @Sydla already explained the voting process, so it explain why The Golden Boy got it.

It may, it's hard to tell. I will say that Dak seems like a very team oriented guy just from listening to his post game interviews and post practice interviews throughout the week, so I would venture a guess to say he probably doesn't give a flip about individual accolades, only team. As for Zeke, I get that sense too but less than Dak. But realistically the only ones who know are Dak and Zeke

another angle I could see is using the award(s) for contract negotiations leverage down the road and the frustration that could go along with not getting the award(s), but they don't need to worry about that for a while

I think Zeke would've been all over the award, but Dak not so much, if it all. Maybe a casual "oh, that's nice, onto the playbook" but Zeke would've been about it (no fault to him, he's a stud and loves the flair and deserved it as much as Dak).

But we (the fans) would've sure enjoyed it, so that counts (for me). I understand your guys' dismissive take. I get it. It just bothers me, Pugilist :)

But Syd walked me off the ledge. :D

Here is the voting page. Funny enough Dak wasn't even nominated yet Wentz was.
Next week we need to post a thread to remind us Cowboys fans to vote. (Hopefully we have someone who deserves it this week haha)
I'm not sure it was even Eagles fans. They were all pretty depressed and down on Wentz for blowing that game.

Now I'm mad again. How the **** was Dak not a finalist?

Edit, looking at the list, it is pretty legit. Walking back off the ledge, again lol

Zeke should've won, as he destroyed a great front 7. Gashed them and we won. Ok, I'm done. Lol

There is major East Coast bias and Cowboy hatred. Off topic: Trey Wingo of ESPN's NFL Live show tried to put the fate of the Cowboys vs Packers game squarely on Dak. He walked towards the camera, spelling out Dak's full government name, saying this game is on him (while pointing his fingers at the camera), as if he was trying to put pressure on him. Why not do that to Wentz? I just shook my head when I saw the end of that segment.

So to see love being shown to Wentz and not Dak is not surprising to me in the least.

Wingo is an admitted Cowboys fan. He's just hyped up about the game. Lol

I love Trey Wingo. He needs his own radio show. He is a complete throwback to the old school, mellow, non-sensational journalism that so many long for @DallasEast

He would be so legit hosting his own show, and like you said, Cej, is a true blue Cowboys diehard.

(Edit -- post 1,900! 100 to go, yay!!!)

Isn't this done by fan voting? If so, then it's easy to see how one Eagle would get more votes than two Cowboys.
