Dak and Zeke no respect. Wentz rookie of the week again?

More like an awful play call. Forcing a deep pass needlessly when there was plenty of time for a drive.
Here is the coaches breakdown of the play calling.
Sending a guy deep is designed to open up the underneath routes. Wentz panicked and went with the deep guy who was doubled and it cost the game.

It's a shallow, basic post combination, and it's really an alerted post. Really the primary is the shallow to the basic on the play to the back. Again, that's kind of the design of the play. They ran a thief coverage, which means they robbed the free safety, played cover one, and [Wentz] ended up having to -- he moved a little bit in the pocket, saw the guy cut, and really took Ertz away, and at that point, by the time he hitched back up into the pocket, his eyes went to Nelson [Agholor] on the post and he decided to throw it at that time. When in fact, Jordan [Matthews] on the shallow could have been the throw at that time. But you know, hey, give our guys an opportunity to make plays down the field and hope for either a catch or a PI.

Fans couldn't vote for Dak btw....
Only Zeke was on the ballot.

Then it was f'ing stupid that Dak was beat out by Wentz. Fans are dumb....and there is an overwhelming anti-Cowboy bias by the fans. Fans of other teams hate their division rivals...and they hate the Cowboys.

2 Cowboys weren't even nominated.
Only Zeke. Dak didn't even get the respect by the NFL to make the ballot.
I was about to mention that Dak and Zeke may be splitting votes. But this answers that question.

There is major East Coast bias and Cowboy hatred. Off topic: Trey Wingo of ESPN's NFL Live show tried to put the fate of the Cowboys vs Packers game squarely on Dak. He walked towards the camera, spelling out Dak's full government name, saying this game is on him (while pointing his fingers at the camera), as if he was trying to put pressure on him. Why not do that to Wentz? I just shook my head when I saw the end of that segment.

So to see love being shown to Wentz and not Dak is not surprising to me in the least.

Trey Wingo is such a weasel. I never liked him. Hes a pats homer too.

not really, Ryan Matthew's fumble was the difference. Wentz went for it all on that play, and threw an int, but at that point, the odds were stacked against them.

this is true.
find it bizarre they would pick a player who lost a game over two who won and had monsterous performances in winning.
Also find it bizarre that mediots would try act like there's some kind of additional pressure on Dak to win and mores than the pressure on Wentz.
They treat Dak like he was the top 2 pick and Wentz was the 4th rounder who wasn't expected to win so early.
Dak and the Cowboys are the ones playing with house money.
Even coming into the bye at 4-2 and getting Romo and Dez back going into the Philly game would be far beyond what anyone dreamed the second Romo went down.
Besides that, if Wash beats Philly, then it doesn't matter what we do, we will be playing Philly in two weeks and it would likely be for control of first place in the division. (no i don't have any respect for the giants, they will get beaten down the rest of the year IMO)

Carson Wentz was named NFL offensive rookie of the week again for his last weeks performance.
You know the game where he threw an awful interception to cost his team the game with 2 minutes left against a bad Lions team.

Wentz had a QB rating of 102.8 QBR 60.9
Dak has a QB rating of 117.9 QBR 87
Zeke had 15 for 134 for 8.9YPC

Wentz has won the award 3 times in 4 weeks.
This reminds me of the 2014 season when Romo and Demarco were passed up for MVP for Rodgers. Or is this an anti Cowboys bias going on here.

All the more sweeter when we beat them !

Jerry doesn't split merchandise profits with the league. That's why it makes more business sense to have anyone but a Cowboy win MVP or these player of the week honors.

You realize that Trey Wingo is a huge Cowboys fan, right?

Okay, horrible throw.

It's fan voting... but it's via the website link, as well as twitter voting. I didn't think you guys care about all that anymore, which is why I never post that stuff.

If I'm not mistaken, Zeke and/or Dak have been nominated every week.

Same thing skinsscalper said - I truly didn't know (I rarely if ever watch that show). I still don't like him calling Dak out like that.
Not sure he was calling him out as much as he was emphasizing how important this game is to Dak's immediate future (to remain the starter) and how well he'll have to play to beat out Rodgers and the Pack. They are going to sell out to stop the run, bro. You can count on that. At that point, the game heavily falls on Dak's shoulders. So far, this season, he's passed all the tests with flying colors. This week is a completely different animal. Knowing Wingo's fan history, I would interpret it more as a call to arms rather than a call you out.

Link was posted earlier in this thread. It shows the ballot and the winner. The voting is supposedly don't by fans. No way to prove anything. But Dak was left off the ballot by the NFL. Only Zeke.
Do we still need our brains checked?

The voting is done by fans. Also, Wentz has the no. 1 selling jersey in the NFL right now so it wouldn't be a stretch to think these Philly loons worked overtime to vote up Wentz.

As to why Dak wasn't on the ballot? I don't know. What I do know is that he's getting a TON of praise in the media from ESPN to NFL Network. In fact, you listen to 99% of the talking heads on the subject of Romo vs. Prescott and they are almost unanimously in favor of letting Prescott continue to start.
