Dak and Zeke no respect. Wentz rookie of the week again?

not really, Ryan Matthew's fumble was the difference. Wentz went for it all on that play, and threw an int, but at that point, the odds were stacked against them.

I agree that he didn't lose them the game, but it was a bad pass in a situation where he didn't have to go deep. He hung it up there and to the outside when his receiver was inside, which kept his receiver from even being able to go up and fight for the ball. He needed to put a little more on it and throw it more down the middle of the field so his receiver could go get it or be the only one with a chance to catch it.

2 Cowboys weren't even nominated.
Only Zeke. Dak didn't even get the respect by the NFL to make the ballot.

I didn't see that. In that case, Elliott should have won. But again, it's fan voting so it really doesn't matter.

If the NFL or media or players had picked Wentz over either Elliott or Dak last week, then you'd have to wonder. Wentz is the golden boy rookie to fans this year ... the No. 2 pick playing like a top pick, so naturally he's going to get the fan vote.

Ummmmm, this isn't media bias at play here.

The NFL Pepsi Rookie of the Week is based on fan voting. Eagles fans are just flooding the voting.
I think Risen is their leader when it comes to Wentz, lol.

Where's the link?

If this is the one voted on by fans? If it is folks here need to get their brains checked.

BTW, there's been nothing but article after article and video montages of Dak & Prescott on NFL Network lauding the two draft picks.

This season is a marathon not a sprint. Guys that are good now, may not be by season's end.

Carson Wentz was named NFL offensive rookie of the week again for his last weeks performance.
You know the game where he threw an awful interception to cost his team the game with 2 minutes left against a bad Lions team.

Wentz had a QB rating of 102.8 QBR 60.9
Dak has a QB rating of 117.9 QBR 87
Zeke had 15 for 134 for 8.9YPC

Wentz has won the award 3 times in 4 weeks.
This reminds me of the 2014 season when Romo and Demarco were passed up for MVP for Rodgers. Or is this an anti Cowboys bias going on here.

Was it an awful interception? Thought the Detroit DB made a decent play on the ball

They were losing to a team that sucks pretty bad and his mistake was the final nail in the coffin. The only thing I can think of is that Dak and Zeke both robbed votes from each other.

I agree, that Wentz should not have been rookie of the week, I'm just saying he wasn't the reason they lost.

I think Zeke would've been all over the award, but Dak not so much, if it all. Maybe a casual "oh, that's nice, onto the playbook" but Zeke would've been about it (no fault to him, he's a stud and loves the flair and deserved it as much as Dak).

But we (the fans) would've sure enjoyed it, so that counts (for me). I understand your guys' dismissive take. I get it. It just bothers me, Pugilist :)

But Syd walked me off the ledge. :D

Dak only extended the record for a rookie not throwing an interception and is close to the all time record for a QB....and that is somehow not good enough to get him player of the week? Since it is fan voting it does make it less of an issue.

Preach it, brother! :)

He also beat a team many had us pegged to lose to. We were the underdog, and he held steady and led us to our 4-1 record (with Zeke, but it starts at QB, and his plays, his bootlegs/PA were the cause for the D getting confused and opening up those holes).

And like you said, another game without a pick. Man crush full blown :D

There is major East Coast bias and Cowboy hatred. Off topic: Trey Wingo of ESPN's NFL Live show tried to put the fate of the Cowboys vs Packers game squarely on Dak. He walked towards the camera, spelling out Dak's full government name, saying this game is on him (while pointing his fingers at the camera), as if he was trying to put pressure on him. Why not do that to Wentz? I just shook my head when I saw the end of that segment.

So to see love being shown to Wentz and not Dak is not surprising to me in the least.
Wingo is actually a Cowboy fan.

I agree Matthews deserves the blame but all Wentz had to do was get into field goal range. He threw it underneath to Sproles a few times, they would've been in good shape. They had plenty of time to get into field goal range without throwing a bomb. Wentz made a rookie mistake, he panicked in his first real pressure situation of the season. It's okay, he will probably get better.

Link was posted earlier in this thread. It shows the ballot and the winner. The voting is supposedly don't by fans. No way to prove anything. But Dak was left off the ballot by the NFL. Only Zeke.
Do we still need our brains checked?

That's ok, I remember back in 1992, teams were getting all the love, and Dallas' defense, the #1 defense in the NFL was shut out from any players going to the pro bowl. They just said, well, ok....then took it out on opponents right to a SB win.

Fans couldn't vote for Dak btw....
Only Zeke was on the ballot.
