For those who don't know Dak's background, he wasn't a highly sought-after prospect. He was a three-star recruit who got a last second offer from LSU, but decided to stick to his commitment. Every year in college, he got better and thrived as a dual-threat QB. His last year, he realized that if he wanted to be a legitimate NFL prospect, he would to run less and throw more accurately. Well, that's exactly what he did: his Senior year, he ran for 300 fewer yards, but raised his completion rate from 61% to 66%.

What's my point? Well, Dak is the type of guy who is going to listen to criticism and make considered changes. Last week, he was criticized for not get Dez this ball; this week, he got Dez the ball, but never forced it.

That's his best attribute -- his ability to assess his weaknesses and make the appropriate changes without panicking. It's a trait that he carries from the off-season and into the fourth quarter.
U don't think JG or SL deserve credit for that? Prescott made the game plan?

I have seen the future - and it's number is four.

On that go-ahead Prescott TD run - all I was thinking over and over was - 'how the heck can a DC stop this for sixty minutes?.' Dak's head is just so far ahead of what your typical rookie QB is... it's just encouraging to see this young guy looking so calm and emotionally restrained during the biggest moments of a game. this bodes well for us

Agreed. I love his calm demeanor. Last week he ran that last drive like a vet. This week no panic when we lost the lead. Just made plays. Hope the arrow stays in the right direction. Would be a huge relief knowing we don't have to go through ten Quincy's to luck in to a Romo.

So here's Dak updated stats after 2 games

47-79 for 63%
519 yards

0 TD pass
0 Int
1 Td rush

83 QB rating

It was 69 after his first game. Over 100 this game. Should be well over 140 next week. :)

They will have to change the rating system after the 4th game.

it's hard not to like pretty much everything you hear about the kid (minus the DUI)

talent, arm, legs, poise, confidence, humility, work ethic, leadership.... looks like we tripped, stumbled and fell into a gamer. I couldn't be happier
