Dak appreciation thread **merged**

Numerous times under pressure, instead of throwing pick 6s, he stayed calm and delivered great throws. The Cowboys have not had this level of QB play since Troy Aikman.

Calm, cool, and a fantastic leader. He doesn't make many mistakes unlike previous QBs because he puts the time in and prepares like no other. The players obviously respond to him in a positive way. Undoubtedly had to be a difficult week, but he responded EXACTLY how I KNEW he would.

Here's to MANY more wins ahead. The future is bright!

He's waaaay better than he should be.

If I have to critique then I'd like to see more big plays from him but we'll take it.

Short term...over 2-3 games...you are completely correct.
And since I assume it is short term, its no issue.

I have to go back and look at how many times we passed it in the red zone these 1st two games of the season, but Dak has had his chances thus far to get a TD pass; he had 1 called back to Dez vs. the Giants. Today he had something like 5 pass attempts into the end zone, including 2 jump balls to Dez that were both unsuccessful.

You have been right on the money... And YES I agree 100%!

There were several times during the game I'm positive my jaw was dropped all the way to the carpet

Yep.

I think we have our QB and a coming controversy if they put Romo back in.

But thats OK..DAK can handle it.

I think they'll come. His WRS need to help in that department. Dez & Bease finally helped today. Where was TWILL? Did he even dress for the game?

Related note.... I'm really digging Jeff Swaim.

Its tough down there.
His 1st TD pass may be a little further out.
It'll come.

It's far more than the Cowboys had any right to expect from a fourth round rookie. Let's try not to waste his career too.

Don't give too many props to Swaim...

It'll kill all the shots given by a few certain folks on the board who've done nothing but slam the pick.

He has been better than ANYBODY expected.

It's premature but after 2 weeks he is looking like the steal of the 2016 draft.

It's getting to the point quickly that Dak is who he is as a player.

Unless someone switches his brain with Ryan Leaf's this kid could solve the Cowboy's QB questions for the next dozen years.

Yeah, but the more and better Swaim plays the more they can blast the Escobar pick. So it's a win/win.

Today was the 53rd time a rookie had at least 30 pass attempts in either game 1 or game 2, and only the 14th time that no interceptions were thrown. Dak is the only player with two such games.

One of the 14 games belongs to Wentz, who plays Mon night.
So he is the 1st rookie to have that many attempts and no TD passes after two games

But on the bright side...no picks either
