Dak appreciation thread **merged**

Poise.

The playcalling as a package clearly favors his development and having options like Beasley and Witten in addition to Dez makes this a favorable system for him. Like it or not, the coaches do get credit for that.

I'm loving what I am seeing from him. In just his 2nd NFL start with one on the road against a divisional rival, I'm impressed!!

60%+ and no turnovers hard to ask more than that from a rookie
So far so good.
No turnovers doesn't mean as much without TDs, but I feel certain the TDs will begin coming next week. It sure beats 0 TDs and 1 or 2 ints....but you rarely see that

For example
3 tds, 1 int maybe even 2 TDs and 1int
Is better than
0 and 0

But again, the TDs will come soon

Really good decisions, nice accurate passes. Picked up yards with his feet when the play broke down. He's composed in the pocket...

I do believe he is legitimately confident in his abilities which is a step in the right direction.

it's hard not to like pretty much everything you hear about the kid (minus the DUI)

talent, arm, legs, poise, confidence, humility, work ethic, leadership.... looks like we tripped, stumbled and fell into a gamer. I couldn't be happier

You know he was found not guilty of the DUI right?

I have seen the future - and it's number is four.

On that go-ahead Prescott TD run - all I was thinking over and over was - 'how the heck can a DC stop this for sixty minutes?.' Dak's head is just so far ahead of what your typical rookie QB is... it's just encouraging to see this young guy looking so calm and emotionally restrained during the biggest moments of a game. this bodes well for us
The future is now !!!!!!!!!!

This one's for you bs:

Dak is the first rookie to attempt at least 30 passes in each of the first two games of the season without an INT.
Im loving Dak

But is it safe to assume he's also the first to have no TD passes with that many attempts?
Honest question with no bad intent

Not really, most teams don't want their rookie QBs throwing the ball over 30 times. So if a rookie is in a good position he's throwing less than that, and likely to not throw the picks. When a rookie has to throw it 30 or more times the odds are he's being forced to do so, and most rookies don't have Dak's poise.
Today was the 53rd time a rookie had at least 30 pass attempts in either game 1 or game 2, and only the 14th time that no interceptions were thrown. Dak is the only player with two such games.

One of the 14 games belongs to Wentz, who plays Mon night.

I don't see how that matters if he's leading them down the field and they run it in instead of passing

Short term...over 2-3 games...you are completely correct.
And since I assume it is short term, its no issue.
