Numerous times under pressure, instead of throwing pick 6s, he stayed calm and delivered great throws. The Cowboys have not had this level of QB play since Troy Aikman.

Calm, cool, and a fantastic leader. He doesn't make many mistakes unlike previous QBs because he puts the time in and prepares like no other. The players obviously respond to him in a positive way. Undoubtedly had to be a difficult week, but he responded EXACTLY how I KNEW he would.

Here's to MANY more wins ahead. The future is bright!
Good game for dak. Just hoping to see the red zone passing improve. Can't wait

One great thing about Dak playing. These first two games, I feel oddly at ease with him at QB. Being a 4th round rookie, you would think as a fan you'd be constantly worried that he will make a rookie mistake at the wrong time, but you just don't feel that way when he's on the field.

He definitely appears to not mess up, which is nice. I just wonder if he'll be able to win us big games. This ALMOST counted.

What I'm interested in is if dak still is playing good when Romo is healthy would you sit him for romo?

Absolutely and here's why--

He's going consistently to his first reads.

He rarely gets to 2nd or 3rd reads.

He's not adjusting pre-snap reads simply because he doesn't have enough experience.

Zeke will explode when Romo gets back.

I absolutely love Dak and think he's going to be great but you don't have to be interested come week 7.

Romo gives us the best chance to win - but I think you already know that.

Great point.

Other than Romo, I (and you can probably agree) there hasn't been another QB that I've felt as comfortable with out there than Dak Prescott– Since Aikman left.

If I'm at a comfort level of 100 with Romo.

Right now I'm at 90 with Dak Prescott.

AWESOME!

Man.. If these guys can just put it all together. They will be a major headache for the rest of the league.

The no name defense actually played well today too. I'm still in shock.

All he can do is play the games on the schedule at this point.

In preseason he was awesome, people said it's only preseason.
The first two weeks he's played very well, people will say it's only been 2 games and just 1 win.

It is what it is. The guy can win in this league. It's just to be determined how high the ceiling is for him.

Im loving Dak

But is it safe to assume he's also the first to have no TD passes with that many attempts?
There have been 15 different games by rookies with at least 30 attempts and no TD (including one by Aikman), but most of the rest are 1 TD, 2-3 INT games.

If he were trying nothing but safe throws and had a really low YPA (as in the first game), there would be a concern, but today's game was very impressive. Dak's 9.7 yards per attempt today (min 30 attempts) is the 2nd best ever by a rookie in the first two weeks of the season (Newton 2011). Teams win 80% of the time when their QB has a 100+ rating on 30 attempts with 0 TD and 0 INT.

Apples to oranges. Warren Moon was already an established pro when he came to the NFL wasn't he? I thought he started in the CFL. Dak is right out of college.

Edit: I looked it up and yes Moon had 6 seasons in the CFL and was coming off of back to back 5000+ yard seasons in the CFL. So he was a seasoned veteran.

Yes, the eye test says the TDs will come.
I have no doubt.
His yards per attempt is already up to 6.9.

But back to the question.
With 75 pass attemps after 2 games, has there ever been a player without a TD.
The comment was that he has the most attempts without a pick, so I just asked does he also have the most pass attempts without a TD. Logical followup question.

And I assume those 0 ints came with a few TD passes for Moon.
So apple to oranges in that way too.

And if anyone is wondering Moon had 31 attempts in his third game with 1 more TD and still 0 interceptions. His first pick didn't come until his fourth game.
