If it were a one-off occurrence, sure. It makes sense to move on. But Dak choked in the playoffs three years in a row. At that point it's not just a matter of moving on for the next season. It's realizing there's a trend. Dak chokes most when it matters. Sure, he's a good regular season QB, but in the playoffs? He panics.I have no problem with Dak telling everyone to get over the Green Bay game. You can’t keep dwelling on the past, you have to move forward. The concern some of us have is if Dak walks at the end of this season and we move on from McCarthy, we’ll be entering the 2025 season with a new HC and a new QB situation that may not even be a starting caliber QB. That’s a scary thought. That could lead to a number of rough seasons. The thought of ending up like Washington and several other teams that have been bouncing around from head coaches and starting QBs for a number of years is a troubling thought.
He's no great QB. He's not a terrible QB either. But the Cowboys have hit their ceiling because Dak won't get out of his own head in big moments.
