LOL! You have zero ability to process even the most basic information. What makes you think you're bright enough to argue with me?

Dak absolutely struggled in San Francisco, yes. That was a divisional round game on the road, vs the very best defense in football.

But how'd he get to that game? And why wasn't Herbert playing that weekend???

Oh, right.

Because the previous weekend, Dak DESTROYED the Buccaneers 7th-ranked defense. And Herbert led a historic CHOKE-JOB vs the Jaguars 21st-ranked defense.

Nobody's even arguing that Dak is better than Herbert.

But to claim that Herbert SURELY would have beaten the best defense on the road, when he's been to the playoffs ONCE and hasn't won a playoff game? That's as dense as dense gets.

This is why NFL personnel who ranked Dak as the 9th-best QB would laugh you right out of the room.

BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

Nice troll beat down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No argument with that, but this is also why I think looking at QB rankings more so in terms of tiers is the way to go. IMO Dak at #9 feels pretty accurate, I'd even be fine moving him ahead of Lawrence, but whats the gap between a Trevor Lawracnce or Dak Presoctt to some of those guys like Tua or Goff? Opinions there will certainly differ, but I think there is a really good argument that it's pretty close.
Looks good to me too. But the gap between the top 4 or 5 and everyone else is pretty large. Plus being at the back end of a top ten says just as much about the other quarterbacks as it does Dak. I could be top 10 tallest in a room full of midgets, what does that say about my height?

This "Top 10" imaginary demarcation is a bit strange to me.

Like...if they had ranked him 11, would the Anti Dakkers be using this as propaganda, and the Dak Slobberers (as I just saw one guy say, LOL) be all defeated?

Numerical rankings are dumb.

I've been saying all along there's

1) Patrick Mahomes
2) the elites (the 3 or 4 aside from Mahomes that will likely be frequently seen aging in conference Championships and superbowls over the next 10 years
3) the Above averagers
4) the ham and eggers.... (see Washington's QBs for last 30 years for examples)
5) the scrubs.... starters who really should be backup QBs.

Dak falls in the Above Average-ers.

Nobody in here would argue he's mahomes....nor argue he's a scrub. Most wouldn't call him Elite.

He's in that group where whether you rank him 7th, or 14th, it doesn't really matter.
Then you havent paying attention. First these clowns said Dak was:

-backup material And that was even after his rookie year
-A bus driver Mostly after his first two years
-Average

As their analysis got completely laughable they slowly climbed up the ladder from backup to bus driver, to average.

Which is where they are stuck now

So all the rankings come out that show him the top 10 disproves everything they have ever said about him. Its confirms what his supporters have claimed. That he is top 10.

Nobody says Dak is elite.

So basically if Dak was a free agent he would still land a big contract?
Is this a joke?

Derek Carr just signed for 4 years/$150 mil, and Dak's better than Carr.

What league are you people watching?

I was being sarcastic. I've heard here we would only be competing with ourselves for a Dak contract. We know that's false and this survey of football people further dispells that.

Yeah but we'll never win anything unless we have a Top 8 QB! Top8 is WAY more important than Top10!

(See how meaningless the arbitrary assigning of rankins are?)

Is he the best? No. Is he garbage or even average? No.

Is he elite like the young guns we saw rising to the top last year? No.

He's just.....good. like the other 9 or 10 "kinda good" QBs are after the elite guys.

Trying to argue whether Dak should be 1 spot above or below Kirk Cousins or Jarred Goff is just so pointless. They're all the same....good, but not good enough. But certainly not bad. It's just the whole "no MY guy is 9th best and YOU'RE guy is only 11th best" argument just seems kinda sad....and I imagine Mahomes, Joe B and the other top guys would be laughing to themselves at such a squabble amongst the 3rd tier of QBs.

My mistake! There's so much anti-Dak stupidity on this board that it's hard to differentiate that from sarcasm.

Ah, the good ole mythical "nfl executives" poll argument.

Surely, nobody could argue against such a strong point.
No, we should listen to YOU instead!!!!!!

What do those NFL nerds know!?!?

This seems pretty accurate. Top 4 can win playoff games with little help. Next 4 need help but can make plays to win games. Everything after that is a bus driver who needs help and or needs lots of talent surrounding them.

This list has to based on potential because I would not put Herbert or Lawrence above someone like Jackson or Prescott right now. Don’t get me wrong I like both of them and think they will be great qbs but they have 1 playoff win. Let’s see how they do in the next couple of years. I mean no one thought Brady was even going to make it in this league and he will go down as one the greatest qb if not the greatest of all time

I was actually thinking the same thing. By watching them play, I think those two QBs will get to elite status, or close to it, I just can't put them there yet. Lets wait a year or two and see more of them.
