They are in every Dak thread talking about his 'stats'

Now which is it: you are blind or you have a convenient memory.
Nobody in ANY of those threads calls Dak an elite QB.

The pro-Dak posters consistently say Dak's a good QB who's in the top 10.

Turns out NFL personnel agrees with us!

The anti-Dak posters consistently say Dak sucks, is mediocre and is only a starter because of his salary.

Turns out NFL personnel would laugh those bozos out of the room!

Find ONE example of Dak being called "elite" on this board. GO RIGHT AHEAD!!!

You can't.

You're fabricating an opposite extreme because NFL personnel made you feel like a know-nothing dolt.

So it's safe to say that this list from NFL personnel carries weight with you, and you respect their opinion that Dak is "Top 10"?

They know more about NFL football than anyone on this board, and they believe Dak's one of the better QBs in the league.

Yes, that carries weight with me.

The anti-Dak idiots wouldn't have ranked Dak within their top 15. One particular idiot used to say Dak's no better than an Andy Dalton, Cooper Rush, Colt McCoy or Tyrod Taylor. Many of them have said Dak's only a starter now because of his salary. Many have called Dak a weak link and the biggest problem holding this team back.

They're in hell now. Must suck knowing NFL personnel would think of you as a know-nothing dolt.

Cool.... I don't respect rankings by players too much (they tend to rank their friends higher and old guys that USED to be great too high, as if they were ranking what they USED to be vs what they are now.)

So you agree Jalen Hurts is a better QB than Dak Prescott.

I didn't ask for stats..... I said show me how many people say Dak is elite....those stats are often mentioned to dismiss some calling him trash, not an NFL QB. doesn't belong in the league and all the other extreme garbage that gets thrown out

so if colling cowherd and skip bayless say dak sucks, you take that to the bank and have 843 pages of responses and comments in 45 threads. but the coaches, Scouts and execs don't carry any weight...right?

The Dak Stats are built on years of a mostly very weak NFC East or in losses when the opposing defenses feel sorry for DAK and let him get some stats like the last Denver game where the score was 30-0 at the start of the 4th Q.
Shame the Superbowl isn't based on stats as Dak would have at least 2 rings by now.
He is guaranteed a statue and green jacket in the GTHOF........GARBAGE TIME HALL OF FAME.

What are you talking about?

I said I agreed with the opinion that NFL execs opinions carry a lot of weight....and generally agreed with their overall article.. with the only caveat being that instead of numerical ranks, they should use Tiers instead (like Draft boards use). I was simply asking that one particular person if HE thought their opinion carried weight. He said it did for him....and I agreed with him.

I'll look forward to your reply.

nice spinning...basically I don't like the rankings so I am going to spin it that he is average and only second best of the average and make it a really large range too by throwing in some cockamamie statistical analysis in there to make it seem that I know what I am talking about.

so you are saying, your math holds water, but scouts, execs, coaches and GMs are clueless.

fantastic!!!

p.s.
I do agree that Dak is good enough to win with with the right team around him, which is the case for all non-Elite QBs. at this point, I consider there are only two elites. Mahomes as clear number 1 and Burrows. the rest need the right team around them.
I’m saying the math of scouts, executive, coaches, and GMs puts him at the top of the average range - 9th is the 72nd percentile in the league - but nice try.

1) Wrong. 9th-24th would be the "middle 50%", not 8-24. So Dak would the best among the "middle 50%," not 2nd-best.

2) Nobody here on planet Earth would consider being 9th-best out of 32 starters "average," but that's one hell of a spin attempt!
:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

The reality is that the anti-Dak idiots wouldn't dare place him in their top 10s. They've screamed all offseason that they want Dak gone, he's trash, etc.

NFL personnel just collectively slapped them upside the head and told them they don't know football. That's why they're lashing out now.

They'll never admit it, but they're learning that they don't know football.

Great. the average of the distribution is 16

By definition anything greater than 16 is better than average.

You guys can quibble about him being right on the edge of the first and second quartile for framing and act like it is meaningful though.

I’ve always put him at most 12. He doesn’t play well under the pressure of good defenses in the playoffs to be top 10 IMO.

I think Hurts is getting too much credit too soon. He has had one year playing with a bunch of all-stars. He did some good things but not enough experience under his belt.

I am not a Lamar Jackson fan. He is a RB taking snaps, not a QB. As a passer he is pretty mediocre. But even so, that means Dak is in the 6-10 range, which is about right. But the top 5 are way ahead of the next 5.

Right now there is Mahoomes and then everyone else. After him its really arguable; Josh Allen seemed to be there after that epic game showdown with Mahoomes but regressed. I think Rodgers is sliding. Brady finally seems gone and was going downhill anyway. Burrows is probably who I would pick at leading the next group but even there it is debatable.

I wonder if by chance they would have ranked Dak at 7, you would have made your list to be top 3, then the next 3 and then the rest needs lot of talent surrounding them?
Who knows, try traveling to that alernate universe where Dak is a top 7 QB and you can find out. Dak has a lot to prove to me after that 49ers game. I was never his biggest fan nor his biggest hater. I've always been in the meh category with him. I figured he was in the top half of the league but after that 49ers game (the worst preformance I've maybe every seen out of a starting QB in a divisional football game) he has a lot to prove to me. Rightfully so. Cry about it or do whatever you need to make yourself feel better about him but he was horrible. Single handedly cost us a chance at the NFC Championship. I still believe he can play the QB position of a SB champion. He won't be the reason we win but he could be the QB of the team that ends up winning.

Wins are not a QB stat and actual people who evaluate players as a job know this and do not use them as a QB stat. Lamar Jackson has been trending downwards for 3 years including not being able to finish the last 2 due to injury. Dak has also been snakebit by injury the past couple years. Meanwhile Herbert has made throws that no other QB can make and Lawrence at times last year looked like the best QB in the NFL. The big question for Lawrence is can he get more consistency and cut down on the INTs.
I'll agree a little bit but I think the jury is still out on Herbert. I think he will be a great but I just want to see consisteny too with him. Agree with you about Dak bieng snakebitten with injuries the last few years. Hopefully he can turn it around this year and I believe he can.

No argument with the second part of your post but I would actually argue that the league is not nearly as QB starved as it was in the past. A team like LV can just let a guy like Derek Carr go, not think twice about it, and then go get a Jimmy G who has played in a superbowl. I think this is about as deep as the QB position has ever been....now is it deep with a lot of above average to average players and lacks the top-end guys like we had a decade ago? That very well could be true.
Sure but Carr is lightyears better than any other VFA QB in the last decade. That he was available is remarkable but to my mind that only underscores how damn scarce the supply is.
