Dak is just a regular season stat QB nothing more

You’re actually right about one thing — Dak does need a coach constantly in his ear.
And that’s exactly the difference between him and guys like Marino, or even Dilfer/Flacco.

Marino didn’t win a ring, but he didn’t fold — he just never had the roster.
Dilfer and Flacco weren’t elite, but when the moment came, they stayed calm, didn’t implode, and let the team do its job.

Dak has the opposite issue:
when the pressure hits, the mechanics crack, the decision-making gets frantic, and he forces throws he doesn’t need to.

If your QB needs someone babysitting him every snap just to stay composed,
that’s not a championship quarterback — that’s a quarterback with a ceiling.

You’re not wrong… you’re actually describing the exact limitation people are pointing out.
Every player is different.....what is wrong with having a coach in his ear? Saying he sucks because he hasn't won and not mentioning our horrible defense, but it okay for Marino, it's OK for Dilfer and Flacco to be a bus driver with a great defense.....those prove my point....it's just Dak hate....what's wrong with admitting it? Danny white had great teams and never made it, but he gets a pass in Cowboys history? Why.....money? Money is just an excuse to piss on him any chance you get....I say that about any player, not just Dak...2 weeks ago, trade Lamb, Pickens is a stud! Now, Pickens is a dog, let him walk.....what do they all have in common? Ignorant fans.....keyboard tough guys....that's it

Nothing is wrong with a coach being in a QB’s ear — the point is what it means.
If a quarterback needs constant hand-holding to stay calm, stay focused, and avoid meltdown decisions, then he’s not the kind of QB who elevates a team when it matters most. That’s not ‘hate,’ that’s football reality.

You keep bringing up Marino, Dilfer, Flacco, Danny White, etc… but you’re actually making my point:

Marino didn’t win a ring — but he never folded under pressure.

Dilfer/Flacco won because they stayed composed and didn’t make killer mistakes.

Dak has talent, but when the lights get bright, the decision-making gets shaky.

That’s not the defense’s fault. That’s not penalties. That’s not the alignment of Jupiter and Mars.
That’s QB play.

Nobody said Dak ‘sucks.’
He’s a good quarterback — just not a quarterback who can consistently overcome adversity when the season is on the line.

That’s not hate.
That’s not emotion.
That’s not ‘keyboard tough guy.’
That’s evaluating a player the same way we evaluate every other position.

If being honest about a quarterback’s limitations upsets the fan club, that’s on them — not on the facts.

I want what you want, and you don't start threads about it every 10 minutes, like some do. I know Dak is bad under pressure, I also know he'll be here next year....i just want him to improve, the staff to coach him up and not be afraid too and hope he and all the whiners can, finally pull that stick from out of their backside
Dak improved a lot this year, but I'd like him to improve leadership as well. I'd like for him to get into the faces of players on the sideline and call them out on stuff instead of waiting until the press confidence to say "we're pissed off"

But...if you criticize the coaching...is that whining? Or truth telling?

Fact is...this is year 9 for Dak. He's 100% here/on the roster next year. While you're content, every year more of the fanbase gets tired of seeing other teams pass us like the Patriots. We can't change Jerry, but we can change the QB...or at least provide real competition for the job.

How do you know? You wouldn't coach him up and lose, to prove a point? He's your QB....let him dig his own grave and take the rest of us with him...let him melt down...lol. it's just hate....Landry was in Roger's ear as much as he could be...Roger had to be reined in and Landry had the balls to do it. That worked out pretty good.
If Dak has to get coached and held back to succeed, means he can't win! Lol!!

Exactly — if Dak needs to be coached every snap to stay in rhythm, that’s literally the point. It doesn’t take ‘hate,’ it takes observation.

Imagine telling a QB: ‘Just do your thing, I’ll handle your panic for you.’ That’s not confidence. That’s babysitting.

Landry reined in Roger? Sure — Roger could still elevate the team, make plays under pressure, and win in the playoffs.
Dak? He’s great when the system is perfect… but take away the pristine line, the top WR, and the perfect timing, and suddenly it’s a panic drill.

You can laugh, you can call it hate… but facts > feelings. And the fact is: needing a coach that much doesn’t scream championship QB — it screams ceiling.

In a perfect world, but times are different...not all players respond to that, especially with the cap...not easy to bench or cut players anymore. But, yes....I get your point, it's a shame that we think athletes need to be called out in during a game, in order for them to play

So, let him lead us to a loss, we shouldn't have to coach him...I can't tell if you are or just acting like you are....

Exactly — let him lead us to a loss. That’s kind of the experiment, isn’t it?

I’m just calling it like it is. Facts > feelings.
He’s a regular-season stat QB who thrives when the stars align… otherwise, it’s a panic drill.

You can coach him, cheer him, or build him a shrine — but you can’t change the ceiling.

I've said that stuff belongs gs behind closed doors, as far as content, no. Just don't whine about this is I can't control....life is to short....literally 45 minutes ago I got a phone call, one of my former athletes and long time assistants was in a wreck, has no feeling from his waist down, surgery at 730, tomorrow morning....he had just finished his first year as HC at the HS that he coach 8 years with me, before I retired. I worry about stuff like that not Dak doing what 99% of all of QBs have done, not won a SB......but, thanks for helping me keep my mind busy

We can't cut him, so let him lose cause we don't want to try something different....you really don't see it? I guess you aren't acting

Exactly, let him play, let him lose, and let the facts speak for themselves. No acting here, just observation. Facts > feelings.

If trying something different means rebuilding a team around a timing-and-support QB instead of an elite one… well, that’s on the front office, not me.

Its funny that the defense gives up 44 points...yep 44. Let that sink in. And here are the Hate Dak Cult posting one Dak thread after another.

I dont get it.

And no. I am.not defending Dak...but 44 points people..Come on now

Man, why you being such a disgruntled fan? Dak has only been with the Cowboys for all these years! Give him time...just a little more time.
I say 5-6 more years should do it. Garrett was his coach and Jerra gave him 10 years. Well, but we all know how that turned out.

Anyway...if his team would not let him down, flip the coin? He don't let his team down?

I think he will lead the Cowboys to victory against this next game...he's a bad man.

Confession before the real reason.

LOL, I don't know. Something has happened to me. I found facts>feelings. I hope more find it.

Ok made it to, and WON a Superbowl is two different things.

Trent Dilfer and Nick Foles WON Superbowls. So again, according to your logic, they were better quarterbacks than Marino and Kelly, correct?

Do you have a problem with reading because you keep dancing around the questions like Chris Brown.
Ew, good comeback. I'm not sure what your point is. Dan Marino and Jim Kelly both went to the dance. They both played well in the playoffs and had deep runs. No, I do not think Trent Dilfer or Nick Foles are better than Hall of Famers who are in what many consider to be the best QB class of all time(1983). I will say that Trent and Dilfer were one-hit wonders, and that's still better than Dak, as he's a no-hit wonder. I love this topic, bc its massive deflection and insecurity complex, using others accomplishment(dilfer and files)to try to support your argument for a post season failure in Dak. My original post stated nfc championships, should have been more clear about getting to and winning a divisional championship or getting to Superbowl is better than not going. Dan went three times, Dak hasn't played like or done enough to sniff the divisional championship game. Jim went to the Super Bowl four straight times, and just because he didn't win doesn't mean he wasn't successful in getting his team deep into the playoffs.
