"LOL" he didn't start his rookie season, was injured in his third season and then made the playoffs his fourth season. Drew Brees was rightfully questioned in San Diego, he was injury prone....which is why they drafted Rivers.

2004 showed he had the talent, it was the question if he could stay healthy.
None of this changes the fact.

Everything you said suggests that Dak has been better than Brees at the same point in their careers. Dak is getting better too.

Yet people whine ....go figure.

It 100% changes it. Drew Brees showed he had the talent, it was about his health. It changes a lot....

Your attempt is to put Dak on the level of Drew Brees. He is not there, he will never be there. Drew Brees' struggles came down to not staying on the field OR being banged up when he was on the field. Dak's problems are with his inconsistent play. This is pretty easy to understand.

Dak hasn't missed a game, Drew Brees was on and off the field. Find a better example.

I get sick and tired of people forcing a narrative on this forum using their jaded feelings and their proverbial expert eye test. Facts are the facts up to this point regarding Dak, so let me preface my post by saying that I'm only providing factual evidence to crush the idiotic narratives that exist against our well deserving and about to be "PAID" franchise quarterback Dak Prescott.

From day 1 I've been one of his biggest fans, and I agree maybe to a fault at times, but for those of you that keep beating the drum that Dak can't win against good teams please enlighten me here a little bit. I will post the facts down below. All I'm saying is lots of guys whom aren't even on Dak's level in regards to winning percentage against good teams got paid so why not Dak? I mean, lets be frank here, Dak is on an elite pace against good teams, the numbers don't lie!

The more empty stats that Dak has accumulated, the more games the Cowboys have lost. When he was throwing for less than 200 yards a game, he still wasn’t getting the job done. Part of Dak’s problem is consistency. He is inconsistent from play to play, from series to series and from game to game. Face it, you hold your breath with every pass that Dak throws. Everybody does. Dak can make one amazing throw, then the next one is like his famous pass to Zeke that went five yards in front of him and two yards short. All of you Dak lovers immediately went to looking for excuses, but there was none. I don’t like how he took three quarters of football to start playing. It is hard to win games like that.
:hammer:That inconsistency is something that cant be fixed either. This is exactly why Dak will never win anything more than a division. Heck he was lucky a couple years ago when Alex Smith got his leg broke and Wentz suffers a broken bone in his back. Otherwise Dak has one division win in 2016 and no playoff win. That one playoff win he has was more Zeke rushing for 140 yds. The NFC east has been a terrible division except for the one year the eagles win a SB. They were lucky as he ll Foles caught fire.

Here we go again with the W/L stat.

Why is it so difficult for so many to understand the team concept?
Because it’s easy to say Dak lost against winning teams but then not give him credit for wins against anyone. Which a lot of the board does.

If I remember correctly Dak closed that game out with an amazing run for a first down to put us in position to win. But sure. It was all Zeke

Brees missed ZERO games due to injury for the first 13 yrs of his career. The games he missed in 2003 was due to being benched for poor play and was replaced by Flutie. And they gave Flutie the start in his final game in 2004.

No idea where you came up with your version of Drew's career.

Kinda crazy how low the winning percentages against winning teams is across the board. Do you happen to know Brady's?

Brady is 63%. Did the math in my head though, he's won 70 out of 110 games against winning teams.

But it seems this discussion is just ripped from this: https://www.si.com/nfl/cowboys/news...cowboys-qbs-record-vs-winners-rally-stacks-up

The tweet mike goes on about is not talking about win records, but HOW Dak plays against wining teams. Which is exactly how it should be judged.

I think the biggest problem with comparing Dak to all QBs is the sample size. Dak currently has 30 games against winning teams, before this season, he was .500 against winning teams (22 games against winning teams) and dropped from 50% to 43%.

Really it's just incredibly unreliable way to even judge QBs, which is why it's stupid to even bring up. Drew Brees has faced 72 winning teams and won 43% of them. Dak is sitting at 43% with a much lower total of winning teams played (obviously)

One is far more impressive than the other. Brady and the Pats is unbelievable.

Dak's numbers are better in every way through 4 years.

Totally relevant.

Most QBs numbers today are better than QBs from nearly 20 years ago....duh. In 2002 only 4 QBs passed for over 4,000 yards, the most TDs thrown were 28, only 4 QBs had a rating over 90, and 13 starting QBs threw 15 or more INTs. In 2003, there were 2 4,000 yard passers, most TDs thrown were 32, 6 QBs had a rating over 90, 13 QBs threw 15 or more INTs. 2004 was a weird outlier year, 5 QBs threw for 4,000 or more yards, most TDs thrown was 49 (Manning), 11 QBs had a rating over 90 (Including Drew Brees), 11 QBs threw 15 or more INTs. In 2005 8 QBs had a rating over 90, most TDs thrown were 32, 2 QBs threw for more than 4,000 yards, INTs were still incredibly high. In 2019, 14 QBs had a rating over 90, 11 QBs threw for 4,000 yards or more with one being over 5,000 yards, 6 QBs had 15 or more INTs.

NFL rules have made the game easier for QBs.

Zekes play was keeping Wilson on the sidelines. And its still was a close game.

Our defense bottling up their number one rushing attack kept him on the sidelines. You people seriously just cannot give Dak any credit can you?

LOL.........so is your analysis the better Dak plays the more it's his fault?

Surely you arent that dumb?

Clearly you lack an understanding of the team concept.
