How about this, since you refuse to answer my question just provide the link that said JG ran the shotgun 85% of the time and hopefully it gives a time frame.

WRONG AGAIN! I said “MAYBE” Romo was in shotgun so much due to the O line which is why I also asked your personal opinion of the O line and the exact time frame that Romo was in the shotgun 85% of the time. You’ve still failed miserably. You provided the qoute (good job) but once again failed to read and comprehend it (bad job).

I also referred to the players not being hand selected by JG, not just a few but overall, I never said anything about the shotgun approach not having to do with JG.

I’ll just stop here because most of your argument is based on things I never said. It’s unbelievable that you even provided a qoute but don’t understand it. It’s almost like you’re arguing with two or three different people and you’re getting everything mixed up. Do you hear voices in your head too? You sure know a lot of interesting little things but you’re using them to debate against made up arguments.

Funny how you end with “Jerry only took power away from him, because of how incompetent he was at his job”. Which is why I used the word neuterED. You’re off your rocker bro.

I’ll be waiting on the 85% shotgun approach link. Thanks.
For whatever reason he will never answer a simple question. Not for me, not for you, not for OmerV or anyone else that I have seen with him. A conversation can never evolve with that guy.

Since Garrett took the helm, here is the list of QBs that have started games in regular season :

2009 Tony Romo (16)
2010 Tony Romo (6) / Jon Kitna (9) / Stephen McGee (1)
2011 Tony Romo (16)
2012 Tony Romo (16)
2013 Tony Romo (15) / Kyle Orton (1)
2014 Tony Romo (15) / Brandon Weeden (1)
2015 Tony Romo (4) / Brandon Weeden (3) / Matt Cassel (7) / Kellen Moore (2)
2016 Dak Prescott (16)
2017 Dak Prescott (16)
2018 Dak Prescott (1)

Thats 8 QBs that started in 9 seasons.

Okay ... ehhh...

Garrett is a genius why ?

Ohh and look, genius favorite Kellen Moore started 2 games in 2015 ... thats sweet ... he is so 'special' .

Why is Dak still being discussed? He is now playing the same way he played in college. His rookie year was a happy accident, but he has returned to playing like his real self. I expect Jerry will give him at least two more years rather than admit they was wrong about him. The sooner Dallas trades up and drafts a top QB, the better off the team will be. Dak is what he is and he has always had the faults that he shows now. He was the exact same player in college.

Lol, yeah, you did me a favor by supporting your own argument. Your something special. Graded 10th worse O line at the end of the season may have had something to do with it. Free and Tyron weren’t good their first year.

Regardless, it took you 3 days to answer a simple question that I never even debated and does nothing to support your argument which I’m not sure I even know what it is anymore. You’ve hardly comprehended a single thing I’ve said and you’ve made up arguments in your own head. You’ve basically been supporting things YOU’VE said, not me. I guess that’s not a bad strategy if you always want to be right which fits your personality perfectly.

So after all your blathering and annoyance, made up qoutes, misinterpretations, irrelevant statistics, qoutes, etc. lets back to your last statement in the post before last. I qoute you “Jerry only took power away from him because how incompetent he was at his job”. How is that any different than when I said Jerry has neutered Jason Garrett?

Lol, I was just thinking it was you he was arguing with the other day. I tried to keep up with it for a little while but he became so illogical I just stopped reading which is exactly what I should have done with him. He’s full of fun little facts but it almost makes me insane trying to discuss anything with him. Honest to god, I’ve talked to mental patients that made more sense than him, I truly think he has head issues (as do I but in a different capacity :))

I’m not giving up on him yet. I was never on the Dak Train nor was I against it but his first game has me very concerned and I’m sick of all the excuses people make for him.

Your whole contention was that Jerry neutered Jason. All of this 2012 and play-calling examples were to demonstrate that when all was said and done Jason Garrett couldn’t get the job done and Jerry was FORCED to start taking the play calling reigns away from him.

THAT IS THE POINT, which you constantly are top-tapping around.

You claimed Garrett had no say in personnel decisions either, meaning this whole drama is about you trying to divest Garrett of any responsibility
This even includes the issue of personnel, which you tried to claim Jason had no power over and he was supposedly Just playing with the cards he was dealt with and I gave you plenty of examples that proved otherwise.

Jerry hired Garrett before Wade and Garrett was a QB coach for two years.
Jerry leveraged a draft to get Garrett a second WR in Roy Williams who was supposedly the excuse the offense didn’t succeed.
Jerry got Felix Jones who Garrett wanted over Chris Johnson, who Wade preferred and added Tashard Choice, because the excuse was that Garrettdidn’t have the players to run the ball.
Jerry forced Wade to take over play calling From Brian Stewart and eventually fired the latter, but didn’t let Wade get Dan Reeves here to babysit Garrett and his playcalling.
The Garrett family all enjoy positions of POWER and INFLUENCE in the organization
Jerry tolerated Garrett interfering with Callahan and said it himself, while Callahan built the line and the zone blocking schemes for the run game, while any other coach would have been fired.
Jerry then went and got Linehan because of his affiliation with Garrett in Miami and it allowed the Cowboys to retain the same offense that only Garrett knew, otherwise Garrett would effectively be rendered meaningless.
Jerry fired a bunch of coaches post 2012 saying a whole of changes would he made, but allowed John Garrett to leave with a graceful PR exit.
Jason Garrett tried starting his brothers pet project Kevin Ogletree in the offense when John was passing game coordinator
Garrett didn’t have Romo in game planning meetings. Jerry gave him the role to Romo with his new contract in 2013, when playcalling was taken away from Garrett
Wade wasn’t involved at all on offense, even when he wanted
Dallas drafted Dez Bryant first and Wade didn’t believed in drafting a WR number 1
Jerry spent millions to get big hefty lineman for Farrett in FA including Leonard Davis and guys like Montreal Holland

DO YOU GET IT NOW?

Where does the evidence in any way support Garrett being neutered? If he was any other coach he’d have been fired now. Wade had three winning seasons and one losing season, despite being hamstrung with this clown and he was fired and Jerry didn’t even afford him the opportunity to finish out the season, while Garrett’s offense had 19 TOs in 8 games. When Jerry finally took playcalling duties away, he finally took Wade’s advice and brought in Linehan as a playcaller and then ultimately OC. Jerry was itching to have Jason as HC and his genius playcaller in control from the beginning.

Where is the evidence Jerry neutered Jason instead of doing everything in his power to help his “Golden Boy” succeed at the expense of the team, whether personnel or playcalling?

I’ve already addressed most of that and it boils down to I never said JG was a great coach, I said he was responsible for some losses just as Romo was responsible for some losses. After I brought up the Washington game is when you went off that that wasn’t Tony’s fault either which is laughable. That’s also about the time you started making up arguments in your head. I never denied JG was his golden boy, I never denied JG didn’t have a hand in losing some of his responsibilities. You then continued to go off about his family, brothers, etc which had nothing to do with anything we were originally discussing. You took 3 days to answer a simple question that I wasn’t even debating and starting misqouting me.

Regardless, Jerry is a horrible owner and no good coach will ever be here long with him at the helm. The Jones family likes to have more control over their coaches, player personnel, etc than most any other football family.

BTW, your two examples of Williams and Felix are lame. That’s two players, which is peanuts. Jerry has used the second round as his personal playground for years and until somewhat recently gave McClay the unofficial GM duties but they have a leash on him too. I seriously doubt McClay was the one making the Gregory picks, Jaylon picks, probably didn’t want Hardy either.

Following a terrific rookie season, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott continues to regress. Shouldn’t he look better in Year Three, not worse?
The Dallas Cowboys had a tough Week One draw in the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. It’s a Panthers’ defense that was tailor-made to stop the Cowboys from what they do best, which is running the football. And the fact it was Joe Looney at center instead of four-time Pro Bowler Travis Frederick at center and a rookie at left guard in Connor Williams, only made things worse for Dallas’ rushing attack.

Therefore, the Cowboys turned to third-year quarterback Dak Prescott to try and win them the game. Unfortunately, Prescott was not up to the task, completing 19 of his 29 passes for only 170 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions.

Prescott’s 5.86 yards per pass attempt average ranked him 24th among his NFL peers. And there wasn’t a single completion made over 20 yards against the Panthers’ suspect secondary. The former fourth-rounder was also sacked six times in the embarrassing 16-8 loss in Carolina.

The 25-year old passer struggled with accuracy issues all game, something that appears to be getting worse as his professional career progresses. In his rookie season, Prescott amazed onlookers as he completed 67.8 percent of his passes for 3,667 yards, 23 touchdowns, and only four interceptions. More importantly, Dak led the Cowboys to a 13-3 season-ending record, earning himself the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award in the process.

Last season, Prescott regressed in Year Two. His completion percentage dropped to 62.9. He threw for 3,324 yards, just 22 touchdowns and more than tripled his interception total with 13 picks. But many gave Prescott a pass as the team dealt with the pending six-game suspension of running back Ezekiel Elliott for most of the season.

In Year Three, Prescott should be at the height of his powers. His accuracy, understanding of the playbook, and comfortably in the pocket should be at an all-time high. Instead, Prescott looked scared at times in Week One, playing rushed, throwing passes into the turf, and mistiming his throws. Once again, many will give Dak a pass due to the new pieces around him.

But the truth is Prescott has yet to prove he is a true franchise quarterback on-the-field. And he is on the cusp of being eligible of receiving a massive contract extension in Dallas, making him the Cowboys’ primary passer for the foreseeable future. Yet, in his third season, Pro Football Focus has Prescott ranked as the 29th best quarterback in the NFL after Week One.

And who are some of the quarterbacks who posted an overall higher grade than Prescott? How about the Buffalo Bills’ rookie Josh Allen, New York Jets’ rookie Sam Darnold, and the Detroit Lions’ Matthew Stafford. The latter losing to the Darnold and the Jets 48-17 in Detroit after throwing four interceptions. Yet, Stafford’s performance is considered better than what Prescott did against the Panthers on Sunday.

Dak Prescott seems to be getting worse the longer he plays. Obviously, he set the bar high following a terrific rookie campaign. And we are only one week into the 2018 regular season. But shouldn’t we be seeing more from a quarterback entering his third season, not less?

And the biggest joke was Jerry being his typical snake-oil salesman, acting like the 2016 COT redeemed his decision to hire Garrett and what he finally called a process of training the HC. Yeah, he actually said that, which implicitly means they wasted years and talent on this clown.

And he always goes back to that as a mechanism to defend Garrett before even being asked about coaching, because even he knows his HC is a joke. Dude just keeps throwing glowing praises on Garrett and that his job is safe. And he does it as if he didn’t say a couple years back when Play calling was taken away from Garrett that Garrett will be a walk-around HC with an ambiguous role and that JG has a high tolerance for ambiguity.

The longer anyone is around JG the worse they get. Romo went off script and started calling his own plays. Romo would check more than a hockey team!!

You guys keep taking about me not supposedly answering you, when all these questions you ask are just irrelevant tangents to the original points you were claiming.

Thus whole scherade was you attempting to absolve Garrett of any blame, while throwing even Tony Romo under the bus, besides claiming Jerry was neutering Garrett from the get go.

This point of Romo is where the whole playcalling came from and how much a joke he was when Romo was supposedly giving away games. Even here you tried to say, well Romo was probably doing it because of the OL. Everybody but Garrett, even the OL, with you dancing around the fact I provided multiple articles that Garrett’s playcalling was a joke by 2012 and Jerry had to strip playcalling duties away from him.

The whole argument is essentially, everything is the fault of everybody but Garrett, who was neutered by Jerry, but when that’s proven to be a joke, then suddenly the response becomes “I never didn’t blame Garrett. He shares some responsibility.” That’s just a cop out to try and make it seem like your originsl intent wasn’t just to absolve Jason of any blame.

And sure, I just gave ‘two examples’ as if those two examples weren’t from among a whole list of examples.

I never had any faith in Dak to start with. I watched too many of his college games to believe that he was a pro QB starter.
Fair enough. I didn’t know much about him and was pleasantly surprised after his first year but I never drank the Kool Aid because I realized he was put in an almost perfect situation. His games against Minn and NY (maybe Philthy) were somewhat concerning because he was exposed when he was under pressure. I still chalked that up to being a rookie.

Last year obviously became much more concerning but thought maybe it was the typical sophmore slump. First game of this year, much more concerned but I realize it’s only one game and I wouldn’t be crowning him the next MVP even if he had a great game.

If you want to make the claim Jerry Jones is a crappy GM, you can do it simply be saying, well yeah, he hired Jason Garrett and had kept him around, despite his incompetence, while even saying he would have an ambiguous role from now on.

You guys keep taking about me me supposedly answering you, when all these questions you ask are just irrelevant tangents to the original points you were claiming.

Thus whole scherade was you attempting to absolve Garrett of any blame, while throwing even Tony Romo under the bus. That’s where the whole playcalling came from and how much a joke he was when Romo was supposedly giving away games. So Garrett was that incompetent that Dallas had to rely on no-huddle and Shotgun. Even here you tried to say, well Romo was probably doing it because of the OL. Lol @ “even Tony Romo”. That says it all.

Did I ever say JG play calling wasn’t a joke or is that another made up qoute? Here’s a clue, I’ve never specifically said anything about JG’s play calling in this thread so it’s just another argument you created based on a made up qoute.

You’ve never once asked me what I thought of JG, all you’ve done is make your own assumptions based mostly on things I never said or never asked for clarification of. As I’ve said, JG was responsible for some losses as was Romo. I wouldn’t be surprised if you think we would have been undefeated every year Romo was QB if we had any other coach but JG.
