Dak is my QB because I'm a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and whether I like it or not, he just signed a long term extension which means he isn't going anywhere, isn't getting cut, and isn't getting traded.

So whether you like it or not, if you root for the Cowboys, he is your QB too!

Let’s talk about facts:

Romo did not play with 3 all pros on OL.

Dak did as soon as he stepped onto the field. Zeke led the league against stacked boxes Dak’s first 3 years and averaged 5 YPC on first down his first year here. Even on 2018, Zeke was literally facing 8 men in the box on 25% of his rushing attempts. He had 304 carries, while nobody other than him carried the ball more than 215 times.

Dallas went from bottom in the league in play action usage with Romo, while Garrett was calling plays, to top 3 as soon as Dak came.

They are not in anyway the same player.
Ok let's go there. Look below and tell how they are different. Yes, they had different coaches (Romo had Parcels/Wade Phillips and Dak had MM and they both suffered through Garrett) and schemes, and as I already mention different strengths and weaknesses but at the end of the day their careers are damn near identical in every category (and as Parcels once said you are what your record/stats say you are).

both have exactly 8 seasons with at least 8 games played

Regular Season Record:
Tony Romo: 78-49
Dak Prescott: 76-46

Regular Season Stats:
Postseason1.png

Post Season Record:
Tony Romo (4 appearances) 2-4
Dak Prescott (5 appearances) 2-5

Post Season Stats:

When comparing the teams they played on, you will see they have had similar talent surrounding them including talent on the OL and offensive skill positions:

Tony Romo's Team All-Pro /Prow-bowl/HOFers & Potential HOFers (OL bolded. Green is Romo's Pro bowl years):

Dak Prescott's Team All-Pro /Prow-bowl/HOFers & Potential HOFers (OL bolded. Green is Dak's Pro bowl years):

This is my perspective...I am a fan of the players on my team and I root for their success. I was a huge Romo fan when he was playing, and I'm Dak fan now. I believe each was capable of winning a SB but unfortunately things didn't work out that way for a multitude of reasons some in their control and others outside of their control (other players, coaches, refs etc.). I don't have to have elite QBs to root for them...just capable realizing it takes a whole team to win a SB.

Wow, Dak been out more games than Romo due to Injury? Just interesting, because Romo is the one that was touted as being injury prone all the time.

Actually Romo missed 27 games in 10 seasons and Dak missed 24 games in 9 seasons so even their games missed due to injury is nearly identical. Further, justifying the claim they are virtually the same.

Because he was. It ended his career.

You’re arguing just to argue. Is Garrett the caliber of Parcells or Sean Payton? If he is to you then fair enough. If he’s not then what are you arguing? The statement is they are both the same quarterback and have had the same career. You’re arguing against a point because you don’t like the way the point is presented to you is childish.
How much coaching did Romo actually get from either of them?

I hear people say Romo was a choke artist then him being injury prone. Also worth noting that he retired due to injury. But when I think of injury prone I think of Sean Lee.

Again, they did not suffer throught Garrett, as Garrett was completely removed from play-calling by Jerry Jones himself in 2014, when Linehan was here.

And record means nothing as far as being the "same QB". Record can be teh result of many things. Dak can't read a defense, is horrible throwing against a zone, has horrible mechanics, couldn't throw accurately to a WR that doesn't get lots of separation like Dez and can't throw in anticipation.

Dak in a roster equivalent to what Romo was playing with, was comparable to Cooper Rush, not Tony Romo.

Jerry loves you. Do you have a Dak jersey for every day of the week?

We've seen how you evaluate QBs buddy... Dak still hasn't invited you to his house to party with him for all the jock-sniffing you been doing all these years, including celebrating that stupid contract.
I’m a fan of people getting paid. I can’t stand you but even I encourage you to know your worth and get your money. Get it all Khiladi….I hope in 2025 all your dreams are fulfilled and you become happier.

You are the guy who tried to pretend like Romo didn’t have anyone who was an All Pros before coming here…..it’s a lie and a myth based on Laurent Robinson…

I don’t evaluate qbs but if I did….you tell me who’s right. The guy who said Dak was a top 10 QB or the guy who said Dak sucks? Check the credentials. Take it up with the All Pro voters.

Man it’s funny watching yall Romosexuals get up in arms about Romo because people say he and Dak are the same. Truly amazing lol.

Right lol. You really can’t make it up lol. He’s not hyping up Brady or Mahomes. He’s propping up Romo. The guy who’s career is parallel to Dak’s lol.
After Romo retired, for some reason, he was propelled into the HOF when he and Prescott are essentially the same caliber of QB. They still haven't recovered from 2016.
