Dak is not my QB

The offensive gameplan has pretty much changed since the Giants game, when they decided to make Rico the guy. Rush isn't just checking the ball down; when the play-action passing game gets going, the intermediate and deep routes open up (see Cooks, Lamb, and Flournoy last week).
The defense can't just sit on certain routes & a small portion of the field. Now they don't know where the play is going and let's not forget that hitting the receivers in stride is allowing them to YAC it up rather than get tackled immediately. How many +20 yard passes did he attempt last week? I'm thinking probably 6 or more.

They didn't generally lose games because of Tony. They won games because of Tony. It takes a team effort & a little luck to win games against good opponents in the NFL. Many of those "Pro Bowlers" failed to do their job at that level in those years. Tony could make really high level plays to cover up a lot of the teams warts.

Is it all Dak's fault we have failed so many times against quality opponents? No. Did he almost always make significant contributions to the failures? Yes. Did he play at a high level in those games? No. Maybe there is an exception but vast majority of the time, no.
Pro bowls are largely fan votes, fans being able to vote multiple times. Whenever Dallas wins, they get them. Very few of these pro bowlers even sniffed a pro bowl until Romo was behind center. Romo didn’t play with many all-pros until 2014. Bradie James made the pro bowl and he was cheese in the passing game.

Guys like columbo wnd Davis were journeymen and busts. Gurode was part of a crew that allowed like 40 plus sacks in 10 games when Flozell Adama went down in 2005-2006.

Romo played effectively his whole career with Garrett as play caller.by the time Jerry even considered pulling the plug on Garrett, Dallas was bottom in the league in play action usage and running the ball.

The analogues are bogus. Dak walked into a situation where he had 3 all pros on OL who played a minimum of at least 2 years together in the same scheme. That OL continuity was unmatched. Zeke was averaging 5 yards a carry on first down and was leading the league like 3 years in a row against stacked boxes.

Pro bowl isn’t even a badge of honor anymore, which is why everybody sits out if it.

In fairness, the Dallas offense has been much more efficient with sustaining drives. When Dak was the QB, there were way too many 3 and outs, which eventually tired the defense out. The Cowboys are playing much better complimentary football right now.
There has been quite a few "First Downs" or "Touchdowns", from the Head Referee, at times with our defense too. Don't toss that out. And an opponent's punter eating popcorn too, during games. Don't do that.
We're a team.....I think.

....the length of making sure one QB remains folklore is actually cringeworthy now, including discrediting more teammates.

Do you guys even watch film on how this team played in the two halves of the season? You telling me dak had the same oline blocking this well the first half of the season.. was dowdle the featured back? Was the defense not getting gashed in the first 8 games.. glad rush has done the job while dak is out but you have to remember both times he took over. The defense picked it up and he had a line that blocked. The defense are the stars of the second half

I can't understand posters like you that dog Romo in order to uplift the fraud. Romo was 10 times the QB Dak is or will ever be, and Romo did not accomplish anything. Think about that for awhile.
They pretty much accomplished the exact same thing...they are identical QBs with different strengths and weaknesses. And you can now add accumulating injuries to the list...along with fans complaints on how much each of them got paid in their final contracts.

Poor Dak, everyone picks on him. Jerry should have given him mo, mo, mo money, make the boy happy.

Poor. poor Dak.

It's not that they really believ it, it's that it supports their feelings for the player so they hang their hats on it as justification for their position. It's much like broader society and politics and religion. If it supports my position it must be the truth...otherwise it's fake media and spin.

What I stated are facts. Bradie James was getting smoked by Jon Kitna. This guy has 2 INTs his whole career here. He had 2,5 sacks going into 2007, when he had 3 sacks. He notched 8 with Wade once, when Wade was running special 46 packages. That was an anomaly for James. He was awful and when paired with Akin Ayodele in the passing game.

The 2014 season when Romo was basically MVP with linehsn in his first year and that OL, he was undefeated on the ROAD and Sean Lee was hurt the whole year.

To be fair, you just got destroyed with a seriously impressive rebuttal yet your response was as above. It's not difficult to understand why people don't take your posts seriously and merely treat them as thoughts and assertions from that of a clown.

Dak can’t throw taking snaps from under center, except for quick routes. The offense under Dak with MM, the “Texas West Coast” was predicated on getting the play in quickly to take advantage of defense not being in the proper personnel packages. This is why you saw Dak snapping the ball with 18-19 seconds left on the clock. Teams that have the personnel to sit back and make Dak read the field and Dak looks like a joke. The offense was really a gimmicky offense meant to hide Dak’s flaws. This is why they had him bail pocket when his early reads were not there.

Maybe the OL blocks better, because Rush’s game is allowing them to block better.

Dak isn’t going to sit back and make anybody pay unless he has 10 seconds to throw if he’s playing awful defenses and the defense allows him to play with the lead.
