He has a ton of poise and exemplary leadership qualities which, together with his technical skills and athleticism, make him special, especially given that he is only a rookie. Hold off on the all time stuff for now...

Dak is pretty much the dictionary definition of a game manager. Plays with the league's leading rusher. Is 24th in the league in attempts and averages about 1.5 TDs per game. Takes care of the ball.

Dak Prescott is essentially playing the role of 2014 Tony Romo, who two years ago was effectively playing the role of 90's Aikman. Two years ago, some national media folks foolishly said "the Cowboys finally figured out how to make Tony Romo a winner: by taking the ball out of his hands." Hogwash. Sure, the running game led the charge, as it is now, but Romo was a maestro in the way he orchestrated the offense. Pretending "anyone" could have filled that role was dumb then, and I believe it's also dumb now. Dak undoubtedly benefits from the talent he has around him, but they also benefit from what he's doing.

I also don't think we can pretend that there is any comparison to Kyle Orton's rookie season or the nature in which either played/plays the position. Orton's QB ratings over the 8-game winning streak in 2005 were 84.9, 77.5, 89.4, 43.3, 42.8, 68.8, 60.7 and 23.7. He later won a game with a 39.6 QB rating. He also threw 7 TDs and 7 INTs over the 8-game winning streak.

I'm not sure his level of play was even good enough to be considered that of a game manager, to be honest.

Troy was absolutely a game manager, but it was by design. At any time, he could reach back and draw on the size, accuracy and arm talent that made him a number one overall pick. Dak is a dink and dunk Day 3 rookie... at any time, he can reach back and deliver... another 7 yard completion to a crossing Cole Beasley. You can't make the comparison... Dak just doesn't have the passing ability. As long as he has all day to throw and can see his targets come open, he's really great.

Yes he is, and he is doing this with a 4-12 team from last season. He has great players around him, but he is the primary reason x1000 we are winning right now. He is also doing this all as a rookie from day 1.

Im not comparing career accomplishments, but considering ALL aspects, he is the best QB the NFL has ever seen. I'll continue standing by that statement until he proves me wrong.
