Lamar is winning. It probably won’t even be a close vote. The tight race will be DPOY. Garrett is slightly ahead of Micah and Watt in Vegas odds. If they award it by sacks then Watt wins. Since Garrett and Micah both finished with 14 sacks, it’ll be hard to make the argument that Garrett had an overall better season since Micah is ahead of him in every other metric. They might still award it to Garrett on the premise that Garrett brought the Browns to the playoffs with Joe Flacco as QB while Micah had Dak. Unfortunately, I think the Cowboys stars are gonna cancel each other out and come out empty handed (Dak MVP, Micah DPOY, CeeDee OPOY).

Now Dak doesn't have time to throw??!!! Just go to bed and take the Dak fan boys with ya.
I didn't say he never has time to throw. But are you sitting here saying Steele didn't let pass rushers blow by him and get Dak sacked in under 3 seconds??? I can definitely provide a few clips for you.

With that said, I've noticed how you've conveniently left out the other two situations I've listed and basically never answered anything.

That's typical coward behavior lil guy. You can't be one of them weak ones all your life kid. Grow up a lil and just answer a simple question.

Is it Dak's fault that he didn't always have time to throw we we played the "big boys", is it Daks fault when we lead the NFL in penalties, and is it Dak's fault when our defense gives up 200 yards on the ground..... simple question lil guy.

All by himself??

Absolutely not by himself. This is a team game. But it's hilarious how he's blamed "all by himself" for losses. We don't lose as a team, we only win as a team according to a few here, right?

Funny how that works.

Dak would've been the MVP easily if he didn't fail so hard against Arizona, San Fran, and the Bills. If Dak plays those games like the first Eagles game (even if we lose) he probably STILL is easily MVP.

While Lamar ended the season putting on a clinic against San Fran (at San Fran) and against the Dolphins.

It's more than just stats.
This pretty much sums it up. Especially the fact that Lamar destroyed the 49ers, who destroyed us.

Watt won't win DPOY. I think it probably will be Garrett for the reasons you state. Tough call as both he and Parsons had superb seasons.

Yeah his showing against 49ers (NFC #1 seed), Lions (NFC #3rd seed), and Dolphins (at the time the #2 AFC seed) was 1050 yards, 11 touchdowns, zero picks.

That's a slam dunk
Quite.

By way of comparison Prescott was 5 touchdowns and 4 picks in those games...5 TDs and 5 picks if including the Bills

The MVP Award...

Lamar
Dak
Purdy...so far.

So, whoever wins that award... if they are so valuable, give Lamar to the Bears team, give Dak to the Redcommanders, give Purdy to the other worse team in the NFL this coming season. Would they be able to turn those teams around this next season???

See how meaningless that trophy is?
Oh...but we are talking about Dak only...
It just has to be Dak, please...it's just the one I love...
so valuable gonna bake him a cake.
Purdy already beat Dak.

Yet some only want to give Dak credit for wins. Yes, it's funny how things work.

Those choosing Lamar are basing his accomplishments he achieved as a team. MVP should be based on the QB's sole accrued stats. In this case, Dak easily should be MVP...

The MVP voting order will be:

Lamar Jackson
Brock Purdy
Dak Prescott

Dak gained a lot of ground on Purdy but it wasn't
quite enough. The loss in Buffalo stopped any
momentum Dak had for the award.

A voter may choose CMAC, Tyreek or CeeDee
just to be different, and waste their vote.

Someone brought up the possibility of Dak winning OPOY.
I like the idea but that award is usually an apology
prize for the best non-QB skills player.

I like Dak's attitude. He wants a bigger trophy.
He's probably gonna face Lamar's Ravens to get it.
That's if he can even get there.

Can't give Dak ALL the credit for wins, but he does deserve his share. Just like he deserves his share of blame in losses.

But to sit here and say Dak doesn't deserve any credit at all for wins is just plain stupid. Without Dak we're DEFINITELY not in the playoffs.

There isn't a backup quarterback on our roster who can do what Dak has done this season, especially without a running game.

Damar Hamlin as Comeback Player of the Year is a joke. He had 2 tackles all year and he came back to life last year. That should not qualify for this year.

If anything he should have been CPY last year.

Dak haters have the most ridiculous takes. It's beyond pathetic at this point.

MVP=participation trophy. What does it really mean? If football is the team sport, how can one person win the MVP among all the teams in the NFL? Who ever wins that award had to have help from his? Yeah, teammates. Oh, you might get a nice little trophy to put on your fireplace mantle to collect dust, but other than that it is a meaningless award.

"Hey, everyone, look at me, I won the MVP. Sorry I did not play well enough to win the SuperBowl because the team let me down. You want to hold my trophy? "
I don't agree that the MVP is a participation trophy. Nor do I believe winning it diminishes one's teammates. Somebody is the most valuable. Just like somebody is player of the year. It's cool.. Every team votes on their OWN MVP in house. Teammates know who is the most valuable guy on their team. Nobody takes offense to it believe me. All that said I'm sure Dak Prescott could care less about the MVP voting. His eyes are squarely on the actual prize.
