Dak is under a whole lot of pressure this year

Oh I see. A 4th round draft pick of America's Team was suddenly thrust into the starting QB starting in week 1 and you don't think he felt any pressure? Or are you saying that when the Cowboys made him the starter week 1 that the coaches and Jones told themselves we have absolutely no chance to win any games so just go out and try to make the games close? The heck with the fact that we have the best O-line in the league and a running back that shows he could do something just try and keep the games close. Prescott isn't under anymore pressure to do well this year than all the pressure he had his rookie season. The only difference is that some fans THINK that he has more pressure so it must be true even though the coaches and Jones have repeatedly said Prescott is their franchise QB.
.
The pressure is he has to prove he is their franchise QB this year because he didn't look too good last year. He is also playing for a 100 + million dollar contract but yeah your right. That's no more pressure than coming out your rookie year. Remember how great a rookie year RG 3 had. Well he is a back up now.

That's a pile of kaka. Every young QB that is his teams franchise QB has to continually prove they are their teams franchise QB but because we're talking Cowboys some how there's more for Prescott at least some fans seem to think so. The day a starter starts to think he's locked in as the starter no matter how they play is the day the coaches start looking for his replacement. Every starter has the pressure to continue to play good to keep their jobs but some fans seem to think that pressure is only on Prescott and that pressure is something new for Prescott.

You can spin it anyway you want but
Dak has more pressure on him because he's played like crapola the last 8 games and he has been figured out.

Unlike some fans that have tunnel vision and only see what they want to see, in reality the Cowboys won 4 out their last 5 games, but according to you all of the teams had Prescott "figured out". It's also funny that former players, coaches and GM's have said that Prescott didn't the impressive year he had as a rookie but still played pretty good but some fans who never played a single snap in the NFL say he had a terrible year or as you said it was crapola. Lets see did Prescott lead then league in picks - NO! Five other QB's had the same number of picks including Carr, Manning and Cousins and 6 starters that had more including big Ben and Cam Newton. Did Prescott have the worse completion percentage - NO! There were 13 starting QB's that had lower completion percentages. In reality Prescott had a middle of the pack season which is a long way from a crapola season. No it was not as good as his rookie season but wasn't as bad as what you and others want to paint it as. You see some who actually understand the game know that there's way to much blame and credit put on QB's for wins and losses and there are many reasons why a team (remember this is a team sport) may not have had the success they wanted beyond the play of the QB.

And how is Dak doing today! You evidently don't see that Dak is limited!

Dak getting booted from this franchise might be the best move for his career. Zeke would be wise in jetting as well. Garrett will waste their careers as well.

We didn't help him out much by not playing him in the preseason. That's part of why he was so good as a rookie.

how about we trade dak and a 2nd for earl thomas since there's a large consensus here that he's garbage. he can back up russell and we can let cooper or mike white finish out the season

I've said since his rookie year that Dak is not a franchise QB. He inherited Romo's team and also had Romo on the sidelines coaching him up his rookie year. 1 TD pass in the past 3 games counting last season??? Please do not pay him franchise money!

Absolutely agree. Prescott is one of the most inaccurate Qb's in this league. I would be very surprised if this team goes far with him at the helm.

The issues are deeper than just Dak. His ability is limited but is not helped by Garret and the OC.
And JJ.
We all owe JJ a debt of gratitude over the years but Jerry will take this great franchise down due to his immense stubborness.
If that is a word!!

I agree, but you have to also put this on Dak's shoulders. The guy is an inaccurate passer.

Romo got spanked against Carolina too. Dak may not be the answer, but we won't know as long as Garrett is still here

Agree 100%.
Accuracy is not his strong point,.
I like Dak, but he is not the answer.
A QB earns his wages by being able to pass the ball.
If he is not comfortable doing that then we move on.

Guarantee there will be a contingent of our fanbase that will be swayed by Dak's postgame comments taking the blame on his shoulders.
