He needs decrease to 45-50 a year max. Is that possible for him to redo and take less? Management needs to demand he redo it. Otherwise we are screwed for 4 years.
Never going to happen, the Player's Union would fight something like this tooth and nail!

I'm one of the biggest (get rid of Dak) people out here after supporting this loser for years, but think like Dak for a moment. No matter what you think of his talent/s, you did have outstanding records a large part of his career. Jerry gave you two outstanding contracts. Why would you quit the team, why would you take a paycut, why would you retire, and so on? Fans want him gone, I get it, but he's not thinking like all of the billionaires on this forum are thinking. Just give away millions because a bunch of school teachers and truck drivers want him to. LOL
I think some fans feel like they should have more of a say so in how a player for their team gets paid and believe them being a fan of that team means the players should take their opinions on contracts into account. Yet the fans at the end of the day are still strangers to these players.

And no one is going to listen to a bunch of strangers and outsiders telling them how they should take less on just the hopes of the company they work for using that money to hire better and higher quality employees. No one is going to gamble their paycheck on something which they aren't even guaranteed the company would do with the savings. Yet some ask Dak and other Cowboys players to gamble on taking less with no guarantee that the Joneses would actually take the savings and spend it on the roster the way Cowboys fans want them to spend it.

If you present yourself as the leader of the team, and you say "I don't play for money, never have cared for it", knowingly taking a prohibitive contract opens you up for criticism. I didn't criticize him in my post. I'm over it. I laid out the facts as they've been presented. You, on the other hand, have come at me sideways throwing out smoke and fire like I've kicked your dog. Please, enlighten me on what it is that I said that isn't true. I'm all ears my guy.
Reaching.

Youre twisting and reaching.

You brought nothing.

You know what they're trying to say. You know threads and people get shutdown when we talk about the true undertones of some people's opinions and biases on this board. Calling people "scared" ain't gonna change that... you ain't slick.
oh I know what it is, and I agree with the sentiment, just wanted to rock the boat a bit

Dak has Aikman as his media and PR ally , he helped get him that contract with all the public support l
not to mention Jerry loves keeping his picked star players until the last drop …

even if you have some good reasons Dak wont take a paycut. Never.
I disagree. I think he'd eagerly accept a paycut for the betterment of the team

It's not about the money for Dak. He told us that in his own words.

Pay no attention to the Louis Vuitton man purses and the $40k worth of jewelry and swag his baby momma leaves on the front seat of their unlocked vehicle.

He's about wins. Not cash.

Regarding the roster, Dak ain’t the issue and Daks contract is not the issue. No player should take a pay cut no more than any of us would take a pay cut at our jobs. The Cowboys can create cap space even with Daks contract.

Telling your star player to do more with less is pretty dumb. A real front office wants a star player QB and good players around him. Look at the Lions, high paid QB, with elite receivers backs and an oline.

Dak has 1 great olineman, 1 great WR and that’s about it on offense. Having those players and nothing else has nothing to do with his contract. If the Cowboys really wanted to do more they would invest in free agents (real ones not 1-2 million players)

Real Front offices don’t pay Michael Gallup “after” he gets injured. Real front offices don’t sign Zeke as part of ANY 1-2 running back punch. That ain’t Daks contract, that’s the front office.
The bolded is completely contradictory.

Agreed to a contract after year 3 and then renegged. And then insisted on a short team screwing deal.
That is the only thing I hate about Dak in his contract negotiations. The short term deals kind of screws up our cap and our overall team. Instead of doing like Mahomes did and sign a 10 year deal or even like a 5 or 6 year deal. Instead he always wanted a 4 year max deals to make even more money when his money in Dallas doesn't get taxed by the state and since he is the Dallas QB he gets all these endorsement deals.

Dak needs to take a paycut for the cheapskate in the front office to STILL say they don't have the cap room to add to the roster?
Exactly............for all those saying Dak's contract is keeping the team from adding free agents, I just got one simple question maybe somebody can answer for Beast.

"Where were all these free agents and roster additions when Dak was playing on a 4th round rookie contract for peanuts"???

I will save everybody a google search, the last top tier free agent signed by Dallas was Brandon Carr in 2012.

See, players and agents in the NFL are not stupid. When they see a team spend basically nothing on free agents when their client is on a rookie deal, dont be surprised when they ask for market-setting, top-dollar contracts when their clients are free agents.
