He's the MVP runner up of stat padding against crap teams in the regular season, too bad he looks like an inept buffoon every time he has to face a real opponent.

Like I said, totally worthless but I know you giddy college fangirls love bringing up his garbage time stats and laughable accolades to justify why the Cowboys should give him money he doesn't deserve.
With all that you said.... you lil weak giddy fan girls never answered my original question. Try harder lil Ms. Lady.

Well, you are so quick to mouth off when anyone says something about Dak, try paying attention first before getting all excited and emotional.
I don't get emotional lil guy. I've actually agreed with the criticism some posters have mentioned kid. Try harder lil guy.

Signed, sealed, and delivered.... boys.

Most of the "Dak is gone" thoughts are hinged upon whether he wants to be here or not. If he wants to be here, the deal is pretty much done - because he holds all the leverage... and we know Jerry will eventually give in. Stephen probably wants him here even more.

The only way Dak leaves is if he doesn't wanna be here. We know what the braintrusts of this team are gonna do.

I am sure Dak wants to be here does NOT have anything to do with him wanting $60 mil + per year.

Here? No, not everyone. There are Philthy fans here and other trolls who will never give him his dues if he does win us a SB. Then there's the Dak haters who are Romosexuals, who are still pissed at Dak for taking his job. They are Romo fans first, Cowboy fans second. I saw that "I Love Tony Romo" thread before the mods deleted it because it revealed the truth. That proved to those who read the whole thread that the majority of the Dak haters here stems from that.
9 years later . . . lol

Dak can't have it both ways, nor can any of these players. One day he wants to do right by his brothers, the next day he wants to be a Cowboy for life. Unless Jerry pays him top QB dollar he is NOT signing here. I have no doubt he wants to be here, and wants to win a ring, but.......not many like Patty in the league, but even Patty is making a killing in endorsements
Ew . . you call him Patty too

You keep him because he gives you hope and with a lesser QB we’ll have no hope. It’s no fun watching a season when you have no hope. If you keep knocking on the door eventually there’s hope you could break through. We’re not going to be knocking on the door if we downgrade at QB. Our only hope of staying in contention is having a viable QB.
We should sign Obi Won Kenobi

Today HAS to be the day, right?

I mean, the game is tomorrow.

So, from everything we've heard from Bob Sturm and the like today HAS to be the day, right guys?

I mean, Jerry said he don't want to talk about it. That means a deal is basically already signed and just waiting to be announced today to steal the news from college football, I guess?

I'm sure everyone here would love for Dak to be the QB to take the Cowboys to the Super Bowl. How could even a Dak hater even say they wouldn't want the Cowboys back in the Super if Dak was the QB?
I don’t like the disingenuous nature of Dak. It’s something I don’t respect.

Mahomes has a great team around him that’s committed to winning.
Shouldn't a great leader & great player be able to inspire those around him?

Maybe it isn't working for Dak because he isn't as great as many of you would like to think.

This guy has no shot to win a SB anywhere.

“Please guys, don’t let me go.. please, I want to be the QB of Dallas..”.

Anybody thinks Dak doesn’t want to be here and wants to go to free agency to play someplace where he won’t be coddled is fooling themselves..

Jim Kelly and Dan Marino apparently couldn't win a Superbowl anywhere. Trent Dilpher and Nick Foles did.

It's all about Superbowls, correct?

I guess it's fair to say that Dilpher and Foles were better quarterbacks than Marino and Kelly. Ya can't move goalposts for this true fact.

I TOTALLY agree with this statement!!! That's why I find it hilarious how Matt Stafford, a first round pick gets so many excuses for having a 11-72 record vs winning teams.

I don't want to here the bs about winning a Superbowl with the Rams. Stafford led the league in interceptions the year the Rams won the Superbowl, so he got carried to a ring by a great team. A great quarterback doesn't have an 11-72 record vs winning teams.

A great quarterback is supposed to elevate the talent around him, correct?? Exactly.

Now Dak isn't an elite quarterback, but the man has never had a losing season as a quarterback, he's been a perennial top 10 quarterback, and last season, he became an All Pro and a MVP candidate WITHOUT a functioning running game.

Again, he's not elite, but he's a damn good quarterback. I personally do not feel he is worth 60 million per year however.

I want to be a Cowboy because Jerry will make me the highest paid QB in the league with zero accountability.
The only sticking point is what Dak’s new # is gonna be. Jersey sales is the only KPI that matters at Star Country Club and it’s been tailing for #4.

This is a 360 from earlier in the negotiation........it is quite obvious from his tone, that he is confident it's going to work out.

It would be so poetic if they extend Dak today.

Then he comes out tomorrow and plays like Dak plays against a good Browns defense and gets dog walked lololololol

I'm here for that chaos.

Aaaany minute now, my ship is coming in
I'll keep checking the horizon...
And I'll stand on the bow, and feel the waves come crashing...
Come crashing down, down, down on me

A deal is done before kickoff.

The Browns had a great defense last year, so let's assume they will this year also.

Dak plays like Dak against a good defense and gets dog walked 24 hours after becoming the highest paid NFL player ever.

I'm here for that chaos.

Mahomes has a great team around him that’s committed to winning.
Give the class a break down:

Part 1 - Mahomes 10 year deal he quickly agreed vs Daks current deal and the one he’s after.

Part 2 - go through the KC roster and tell us which players we can afford to add with the extra $$ from part 1 above.

That’s the first way Mahomes leads from the front: he isn’t trying to win a personal bag of cash but rather a Lombardi trophy. Cares more about the KC brotherhood than the QB brotherhood. Talent aside, it starts there and it’s all downhill.
