I remember that one time people were fawning all over him for picking up his cup off the ground after he missed from about 3 feet

Give him credit now he just hands the cup to a trainer instead of risking missing a huge trash can 3 feet away

So he learned from that mistake too

Dak can have playoff success even with his boneheaded mistakes. It will require the following:

1. Dominant running game
2. Shut down defense with proper field position from special teams.
3. Force turnovers to make up for your own.

You can trash on Dak all you want. But when a qb is having a rough stretch of turnovers they usually fold. Yes, I’m extremely impressed with how he’s playing through the interceptions.

Would you rather Dak just get gun shy and start pulling his throws? Our offense would just crumble. The season isn’t over, Dak just needs to continue to be aggressive and work his way out of the turnovers.

He sure seems to shrug these awful plays off and falls on his sword admitting so....issue is that if he does this against the 9ers there is no going back. He is playing with fire at times, and it won't lead him to long term success when is up against the nasty D they have.
tell that to the OL where many tips or throws where he gets grabbed or shoved during follow through, tell the wrs if it hits them in the hands or pads to catch it, tell the wrs to run their routes properly and get separations..also tell the refs on 2 of those ints there was obvious PIs that weren't called and caused the INT..

we can see 6-7 [picks not on dak its quite obvious. The team needs to clean all of that up, not have Turpin cough up a punt and nearly did it again, same with the defense getting gashed for chunk yards, missing tackles, not getting sacks..coahes for poor play calls, time management etc etc.

shall we go on?? TEAM needs to step up, Team lst

On the 9er game is bad karma to skip over the game 1 WC as if the bucs/carolina are capable of stepping up for one game.. always getting back to 9ers is just being ridiculous.

So what you’re saying is he and the rest of the team pretty much need to be perfect to beat niners
pretty much...they will run the ball down our throats if they get ahead of us early. They aren't even our first worry though, lol

of course this isn't all on him everybody and I mean everybody is to blame for these types of games. I don't mind the aggressive INT's he throws, it's the dumb mistake throws into double and triple coverage that has to stop. Every top QB has their moments, and if I was a Bills fan I would have the exact same convo about their QB.

right lie Farve and Pmannign, heck Eli was knows for mistakes, somehow in those 2 SB runs, he corrected them.

now recently Stafford led the Legue in INts, 2 in the SB i believe, and his team picked him up, he responded and went and won that game. Dak and this team has responded after mistakes, that what's important, the team put that behind them and going after the win.

we also saw a team be tops in penalties ie seatle go win a SB, its team game its how the team rallies for each other once adversity pops up, so far this season they've done that a lot.

Fellow Zoners - While I fully expect Captain Dak to pilot the SS Dallas Cowboy ship directly into an iceberg once the post season starts....

Stopped reading after this.

1. You can't put positivity and Dak in the same sentence on this forum. This place is full of negative Nancy's. This sentence makes it seem like you are just trying to get likes from Dak haters.

2. You can't state in your title a positive thread and follow it up immediately with a negative connotation. It denotes your message and de-credits the rest of your soliloquy.

3. Recommendation: Next time you want to have a positive thread, which is hard to do here, actually follow it up with a positive statement.

I wouldn't have him in the first place. I'd draft a QB in the first round until I hit on one and then go from there.

QBs like Turbiskey, Rosen, Mayfield, lynch, wilson, Wentz, Goff,...4 out of 5 first round QBs fail.

But I am.sure people will point to mahomes and Allen as proof that first round QBs succeed.

Really?

Thanks for the laugh....good one!
You don’t think this team has talent? Mind you it may he over rated a touch but there’s talent . Now the talent is aging a bit but I don’t have issues with drafting

We have had issues with talent in right spots perhaps and coaching has been an issue. Keep in mind we’re always competitive so we draft in teens to 20s every year

smith, smith, Martin , zeke, pollard , lamb, Dak , parsons, DLaw , Diggs all talented I’m sure I left some out

Love the way OP starts the thread with expectations of failure. Wow, what a positive post

I can only come to the conclusion that were mostly spoiled at expecting our QB to be closer to perfect. Dak is a very good QB. Yes, he makes mistakes at times but they all do. We are cherry-picking mistakes and the good plays don't weigh as heavy because we have a bias toward wanting to dominate and seeing progress. I'm thankful to have Dak. He fits nicely. I just want him to take that leap in the playoffs. But, the rest of the team has to take that leap as well.

Whatever you think the failure rate is for first round QBs it's higher for those drafted later.

Of course we have/had talent. That isn't what I objected to.

Jerry "ALWASY" puts talent on the field?

Not always.

If you feel different...that's fine too.

Ya I can’t think of a time where we haven’t been talented
Just not talented enough or in right spots.Coaching is bigger issue over the years and putting that said talent in best position to win and Jerry could benefit from staying out of the way

but I admit my memory is fading a bit

Fellow Zoners - While I fully expect Captain Dak to pilot the SS Dallas Cowboy ship directly into an iceberg once the post season starts, I thought I'd try to keep things positive and give Dak some kudos for his pretty remarkable ability this season to move on from mistakes. He seems to have that Ted Lasso 'Goldfish memory' going for him where he can leave disastrous miscues in the rear view mirror and rally to play well and even lead the team to victory (Philly and Houston being two good examples). Many other QB's would have crumbled after such terrible picks, but Dak has been able to bounce back. It's even more remarkable given the mental aspect of the game isn't exactly Dak's strong suit, but kudos to him for showing such resiliency.
True, but he also constantly talks about the fact that he is going to correct his mistakes and take better care of the football and then he throws multiple ints. Its the talk the talk that gets me riled up. If you are not going to stop making awful throws, shut the heck up.
While I am ranting, why does it take him so long to settle down in each game. His first few throws are just miserable/
