Honestly I believe they are telling him to not "overthink" things and just fire away. Dak had a tendency to hold the ball when he didn't understand the coverage and then when time ran out he made a last-second horrible throw or took a sack. So he's not learning from his mistakes, he's just ignoring them and moving on. The net result is better than when he's racked with indecision so I think we just need to live with the turnovers..
I agree, I don't want him overthinking it either, but some things need to be remembered, like alignments and such.

You whine about anything positive towards the Cowboys.
Oh really?

Care to make a wager?

You see....you are so negative you only notice negative. You only want to see negative....so that's all you see.

Plus...being a self-admitted troll. This is the kind of dirty dirt we expect from you. you just keep insulting and lying.

Carry on then....if this makes you feel better.

Dak is currently making more plays than mistakes. That's good

I wouldn't have him in the first place. I'd draft a QB in the first round until I hit on one and then go from there.

If we fold in the playoffs again (likely) and Jerry, fearing he's running out of time, hires Sean Payton you might just get your wish because he's going to insist on two things - control and his own QB. It might be Dak but he said today that when he takes a job he is going to want a big-body prototype for the position.

As much as all get annoyed with Dak for every mistake he makes, the bottom line is since he came back, they score more points than any team in the league, they are 8-2 and he lead them to 14 and 17 pt leads in the 2 losses. The d has some fault in that.

The numbers don't lie though. It works better than the alternative. It is what it is.

What numbers? I don't disagree with drafting arm talent, but if you use that strategy, you will miss a lot, and by the time you get that qb you will likely be talent deprived. You may not even know he's the guy because it's very, very rare for any qb to shine without talent around him. Consequently you'll have to build around him at that point and by the time you get the pieces in place he will be due for a big contract. Then you have to decipher whether or not he's actually worth it.

It's a much, much better strategy to build up your lines and wait for a qb you believe in while simultaneously taking mid round shots at guys and developing.

Dak can have playoff success even with his boneheaded mistakes. It will require the following:

1. Dominant running game
2. Shut down defense with proper field position from special teams.
3. Force turnovers to make up for your own.
A practice squad QB would have playoff success in the above scenario as well. How about he actually consistently plays well during a game and cuts out the dumb decisions to justify his contract.

It's a team game until its not.
Team game but QBs get the glory and criticism- right or wrong.

Brady is known for a beast for Playoffs and SB …. Except the NYG kryptonite , he never faltered in SB , remember the comeback against Atlanta? ( Quinn’s unfortunate tale) Quinn should use that as motivation as finally to vanquish Brady and Buccs if we play them in playoffs.

I'm all for building up the line. I am saying at some point though you have to settle on a QB, and if you look at the QB's that have made it to super bowls the last 20 years the majority are first round picks.

should be interesting, I dont think it will change anyones mind BUT Payton will roll with Dak and tell everyone he is a good QB... should be funny how fast Ole Sean starts getting called "A puppet" the minute he says Dak is fine.
