Well I thought his pass to Schoonmaker for a touchdown was a dime and his best pass but it ended up as an incomplete.

I’m not really sure what your point is. You want Dak to play exceptional when the defense and special teams shows up? Did you want a 70 point beating?

Dak was solid yesterday. Not much of a run game….shotty pass blocking. I actually was more impressed last week than this week but we won this week. Fantasy sports has really clouded a lot of your judgment.

And there is no way you can watch two games at once. Red zone or not. Maybe you missed some things watching the 49ers?
The TD to CD was a good pass.

My point is, regardless of what other phases of the team are doing it's the QB's job to score points (more TD's than FG's preferably). Obviously NE was overmatched. Their D was on the field a lot. We should have scored on more red zone trips which is what we will have to do against better competition. Dinking & dunking between the 25's and then getting shut down indicates that the offense can't really dictate to the defense. It takes high level execution when the field gets compressed. We haven't been doing that very well this year.

We haven’t. The red zone issues has to get fixed I think we all know that.

No one talks about it but we sucked at the beginning last year on third downs. No one cares now because we ended up being one of the best by seasons end.

I say that to say it’s a…..process. That dreaded word. But it is. I think they’re trying to figure out what works. Starting to see some Luepke looks. It should work itself out unfortunately the schedule is about to toughen up. I do wonder if they are holding some things back for some of the better competition coming up…

Interesting:

The cowboys executed their first pass-leaning gameplan of 2023 on sunday, dropping back to pass 5 percentage points more often on early downs than expected for the situation

Except for the Cardinals game, and we know what happened there, Dak and the offense has had it easy, thanks to their friends on defense.

He didn’t “ball out”. More like “drove the bus”.

He’ll regress to the mediocre QB he is next week when we go to 49ers dome and get blown out.

As noted above (tweets), Dak is not the problem. He is hitting his targets at a very high rate whether in between the 20s or in the redzone. The issue is too many drops or failed catches by our receivers.

Dak is definitely balling out.

We all know it isn't going to happen. San Francisco's defense is going to shut the run down and force Dak to throw.
the challenge is going to be inside the redzone and MM has to figure it out. we have had no issues getting inside the redzone. punching it in has been an issue and its not a single issue problem. there is a lot to fix.

I am half with you but remember Dak has been the best QB in the league against the blitz for the last 4 years and after some "anticipation" INTs last year where the receivers ended up somewhere other than where the ball did I am sure he has been coached to take care of the ball better. And it shows. He simply is not putting the ball in harm's way nearly as much as he did last year. And when he does he's putting enough heat on it that the defenders getting hands on it can't catch it. I'll take a few "man I used to could outrun that guy" sacks over INTs any day.
That’s fair and that might be a trust issue with his WRs. By the time they get to playoff we need that trust to be there. Then Dak can make that choice based on game situation/risk only and hopefully trust isn’t playing a factor at that point

The issue is and has been when the defense allows points and Dak is pressured to produce points of his own he is a train wreck. He's adequate when the defense is shutting opposing teams down and he can dink and dunk his way up the field. Even then though he makes questionable reads and decisions. There will be another cardinals type game very soon then watch how Dak responds.

LOL.....Church of Dak trying to sell the fantasy that Dak Prescott is a competent QB. SF is going to destroy this team.
Wishful thinking I see. Whats your definition of destroying? Losing by 6 or 9 is not getting destroyed.

Like I said he was going to play lights out. Called it last year with thr bucs. It's what he does everytime. He will follow up with an average/ meh game this week.
You can't play lights out every
Next Sunday will be the games of all games (in this season so far).

Personally I don't think Dak played that good yesterday and the whole offense really (once again) haven't tributed as much to the win as they should have. This team can not continue to be as onesided as it is right now. Against Arizona the defense couldn't get it done, so the offense should have been stepped up and scored 29 points. They couldnt even get close against a mediocre defense. Dak gets his completion rate because MM has totally designed the game around his abilities now. And I don't mind that. But every now and then the QB has to deliver outside of that design too in order to push a team over the finishing line. I'm still waiting for our QB to do just that.

But with that being said: If they can win next week they have proven that they're good enough to win it all. And that's good enough for me. So let's wait and see.
If the defense doesn't score, we win that game 21-3. That's enough against a good defense. As Parcells says, if my defense gives up 17 and we score 21, that's a recipe for success.

He had a good game for sure. Calling it balling out is a stretch with only 1 pass TD amd redzone inefficiencies continuing. He didn’t have a INT though so that’s great.
To be fair to Dak he should of had 2td. Schoon dropped a catchable td. That’s not on Dak
